The lawyers are going to love this administration. Par for the course, they have no respect or patience for rules or laws so they just barrel ahead and wait on some court to be forced t tell them no. Like they are incapable of reading the law and understand it. Good thing they aren't in a position of authority or something. djt and desi are alike in that manner, no concern for laws or rules.

how can we declare a national emergency so DOGE can be put into place without bother of laws or rules that apply to little people?

Elon Musk’s DOGE to be sued within minutes of Trump inauguration

A lawsuit claiming billionaire Elon Musk’s “Department of Government Efficiency” violates federal transparency rules will be filed within minutes of President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration Monday, kicking off a legal battle over a key aspect of the incoming administration’s agenda.

In a 30-page complaint obtained by The Washington Post ahead of its filing, the public interest law firm National Security Counselors says that the nongovernmental DOGE panel is breaking a 1972 law that requires advisory committees to the executive branch to follow certain rules on disclosure, hiring and other practices.

Shortly after the election, Trump tapped Musk and biotech entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy to lead DOGE in identifying government regulations and spending programs for the White House to cut. The group has already hired dozens of staffers as it works out of the Washington offices of Musk’s company SpaceX, sending emissaries across U.S. agencies to put together a list of recommendations to execute in tandem with the administration and often communicating on the encrypted messaging app Signal.

The lawsuit alleges that DOGE meets the requirements to be considered a “federal advisory committee,” a class of legal entity regulated to ensure the government receives transparent and balanced advice. These groups, known as FACAs, are required by law to have “fairly balanced” representation, keep regular minutes of meetings, allow the public to attend, file a charter with Congress and more — all steps that DOGE does not appear to have taken.

On a positive note, Biden screwed your party for a generation with all pre-emptive pardons he just announced.

Good luck getting elected to any office now.

I disagree. Voters won't care. Just look at how many cast a ballot for a literal felon in 2024.

I think the 77 million who voted for him know that maybe the felony conviction is a hoax and an attempted to keep him off the ballot.

The delusional ones who know nothing of the law probably think that. So, ya, that's a lot.

But with him receiving appx 90 felony indictments in four different jurisdictions......and with the nation having witnessed his crimes....

....it takes a very special type of person indeed to not recognize that that guy's a literal criminal.

Disagree. Nothing lasts for very long in the political realm. I remember Obama’s election was pointed at as the start of a Dem dynasty. The pendulum swings back and forth.

And its not like the Biden Admin issued a bunch of EO and then said try and sue us, counting on the fact that they did not think the Court would grant them standing.

none so blind as those that refuse to see...the man is a felon, a sexual predator, a draft dodger, a business cheat, an adulterer, who lacks any sense of empathy and leaves broken people in his wake. that is who he is.

You are right, the eviction moratorium and the Student Loan EO’s were worse. I dont think the DOGE is trying to take away anyone’s right to do with their private property as they wish within the law.

Reminds me of the predicted permanent Republican majority following the election of George W. Bush in 2004 or the permanent progressive Democratic majority following the election of Barack Obama in 2008 and I would add both Bush and Obama won their elections by significantly higher margins that did Trump in 2024 and both Bush and Obama had larger majorities of their party in both Houses of Congress than does Trump currently. Although it's premature at this point a Blue wave is very possible if not actually very likely in the 2026 midterms.

Yes but as everyone knows, they are going to find out all they can do is make recommendations.
