I’m curious, what issues do you have with Billy’s personnel use?

Which is exactly the point. I fully support Coach Napier, but neither his supporters nor his detractors will ultimately be responsible for his success or failure. The vast majority of fans simply don’t have that power.
The only thing we have control over is our own behavior… attendance at the games was higher than it has been in many years, to me fans seemed much more engaged, and I didn’t hear nearly as much negativity.
Of course that’s all anecdotal (except for the attendance numbers), but it appears from my perspective that ticket buying, money contributing fans, did the things they have control over very well this year. The rest of the story will be told by this staff.
Not only are we not standing in their way, we don’t have that ability as long as they focus on their job, and not on how the fans are reacting at any given moment. Fortunately I think that is Billy Napier’s ultimate strength… we’ll see how it works out.

Missing 5 receivers might be a blessing in disguise. Maybe AR will have to run the ball, sometimes.

Billy will objectively look back on this year and fix the obvious. What needs to be fixed? Simple. We need an OC and a QB coach. Napier is going to one day be considered the best CEO HC in the business. One day we will fight with Alabama to keep him, and we will win. By 2024, we are a relevant NC Contender. We will win a Title with Billy Napier.

I’m all ‘for’ letting him do his job. Secure a top 5-7 recruiting class. Procure some key plug and play pieces of quality in the portal season. Especially on the D. At LB. But also at QB. Spend much time with PTone in the off-season figuring out a D strategy that produces winning Defensive play. Come next fall put a team on the field that scores 6-8 points per game in the SEC more, and gives up 6-8 points per game less. Win at least 9 games in the regular season. Do those things and the fan base will see improvement and can ‘wait’ as the process continues to evolve and acquire better talent. Put on another schizophrenic show like THIS year has been and it’ll be time to talk about the firing and hiring of Coordinators.

People watch James on GNFP and he says we have less success with 12 personnel.

You know, everyone is complaining about our Hail Mary play. The last time we had success with it was with AR playing WR. That would make more sense.

If Elephants, then one bite at a time.
Missing those receivers and truthfully we should still compete with them just fine IF Billy has the team ready and has a good game plan. Team wasn’t ready last week and game-plan wasn’t good.

I saw no fire in Mac and Mullen and that worried me. I stated my concerns. I’m concerned w Billy too. No one will match SOS and Urban with intensity but it’s gotta be there. Calm and cool is great sometimes. I just hope he understands how important this game is tomorrow night. I also don’t agree with “first year excuse”, “Dan’s players”, or “AR’s fault”. Too many other coaches winning in their first year.
The AR blame thing is especially concerning. Kid has done better than ok in my book while playing in a offense that is limiting. Think about it, no tight ends to throw to, don’t run RB screens, no slants and starters often injured. Unless Hartman comes here those wanting AR to leave will be missing him next year.

We do. Need tight end pass catchers occasionally if gonna run 12. Odom is our best because he’s an excellent blocker. Should have hit portal for TE.

Right but examples for the “first year crowd” saying can’t do big things in first year.

Not sure anyone is saying that since both Mullen and McElwain won 10 games in their first year at UF.

Napier should have went a bit portal heavy and this year would result in 2 -3 more wins. Instead we held pat. It doesn’t have to be a tear down kind of thing that it looks like we’re getting. It just doesn’t.

He tried, but struck out on a few needed pieces on the DL and lost a few current players at LB. Remember, he didn’t have the clout of a Brian Kelly or a Lincoln Riley. Also, UF was a bit behind in the NIL game as well. This is the off-season you’ll see the big moves.

    Agree 100%.
I'll just quote you when I express my concerns about BN. Except I'll add that a sideline look of indifference is not going to fly with this generation of athletes. Today's players want attitude and Alpha. See SOS, Jimmy J., Lane Kiffin.

Hope you’re right. Losing to Ky, UT, LSU, UGA, Vandy and possibly FSU again in the same season will not help his stay. Plus these freshman only 2-3 will get playing time so portal needs to hit big.

Fixing the obvious can be done in season.

Remember SOS and the gators v FSU? Went to shotgun and a month later 52-20.

Bowden himself asked how gators did that in 4 weeks. Simple- great coaching

It was said that Napier liked to play 2 tight ends, but where were they this year?

We didn’t get any from the transfer portal that I could see.

Also helped that FSU had a bunch of players under the weather with the stomach bug.

Billy will have this turned around in year 2. The portal makes it quicker. The majority of our best players are freshman and sophomore. The guys he brought in our are biggest contributors. He will turn out to be a Great coach. He inherited a mess. We are not as talented as many Gator fans think. Give the man time!
