So no data showing Florida was superior in their handling of covid?

Sorry, but the data proves you wrong, again. Just look at US COVID mortality rates, vaccinated versus unvaccinated. It's clear, the unvaccinated were, and still are dying at a higher rate.

And you admit it was elderly and those with comorbidities who were at a higher risk from COVID. How do you isolate these millions of Americans? Especially with millions of children living with a grandparent as a primary caregiver, millions more with a parent with Type I diabetes, and millions, like my kids, living with someone who has had asthma since he was a child? How do you reconcile the fact that having kids in schools would have likely lead to more deaths of these primary caregivers, as their children brought the virus home from school. And I ask again, what is an acceptable number of increased deaths for you to keep schools opened?

This reminds me, and I meant to post this yesterday, but if you live on gulf front property near the big bend, you don't need to evacuate. You see, my wife is an insurance agent that sells flood insurance and I have a degree in algebra, plus I watch a lot of YouTube videos, so I'm basically an expert on this. Evacuations are a scam that can kill you. There is a 0.00001% chance that you could be killed in a car accident as you try to leave your home to evacuate. No one ever gets killed in car accidents in their house. FEMA is trying to kill you with their dangerous and unnecessary evacuation plans. Ask your doctor. Do your own research.

It is a retirement haven, but I think @philnotfil 's point is something that you really really really really should be considering. Age adjusted covid death rates & not age-adjusted death rates tell the same story, CA fared the best among the big four (#38 among all states), and thus better than FL at #31. TX fared the worst among the big four (#5) and NY fared second worst (#17). And yes, there are other considerations, but there is no unringing the bell once someone dies.

Thing is too, given how divergent strategies in CA & FL led to somewhat close numbers, I think a bigger point to this entire shebang is how destructive and disruptive infectious disease can be. This seems to escape so many, including many that aren't germ theory denialists.

It's sheeple like you that fall for the evacuation lies the government tells you and can't admit your were wrong, you are the real problem. I live in Florida. I didn't evacuate. I'm totally fine today. If that alone doesn't disprove the evacuation myth, then you don't understand basic science.

    LOL!

We did cancel 8am appointments today (decision made when the tornado warning hit). Had a tornado warning at 7am. But we’re crushing it by 9am. Fully prepared for the morning to keep staff and patients safe. The government did lie about Covid. And you want to compare it to Hurricane preparedness lol. I roll my eyes all the time at decisions for hurricanes in Marion County. But we are a central location for shelters that some coastal counties need help with. So I give the benefit to a point. But call them out for dump stuff all the time.

LOL. You fell for another lie. Tornado warnings. Once a sheeple, always a sheeple, I guess, and you admit it like you are proud of it. I saw today there were two reported causality from Idalia, both from ... wait for it ... car crashing due to storm conditions. Millions of people are told evacuate, and only two die from car crashes while evacuating. That proves it's a scam. Do the algebra. Watch the YouTube videos on it. It's partly Ron DeSantis's fault for tricking people into thinking hurricanes and tornados are dangerous, all so they can control you. There is a lot of science out there that says Hurricanes are not even real and the wind speeds are exaggerated.

Take your nonsense somewhere else lol!

There was a Cat 3/4 hurricane that could have jogged either direction last night. We were lucky. Even with that luck we ended up with a bad band at a critical time as we woke up. All our phones went off. One of our hygienists was texting from their bathroom as the tornado that hit Santos which was close to where they live. It was gnarly weather that no one should have needed to consider driving in. Thankfully with technology we were able to make decisions accordingly.

You go be a part of few sheeple who can’t see reality LOL!

LOL. You sound like a crazed loon. It sounds like you are saying a problem was identified, government acted accordingly and made recommendations, smart people listed to the government, lives were saved, and the number of deaths recorded isn't an accurate reflection of how dangerous it really was... because people listened to government's advice. Give me a break. We should get a "torando mask" to protect you and your "hygienists", as if that's a real job and something you didn't just make up.

    LOL!

Go take your shot and be the sheep you are.

Florida did act accordingly. As it did better than any state when it came to Covid. Stop your whining and be grateful you live in a state with a Governor that gets it…

And you can take your arrogant cheap shots at people and the profession they choose somewhere else. It shows the true @$$ you really are. I honestly could care less that you are a low enough person to make fun of someone’s looks because you disagree with them. But your disdain for people you clearly feel superior to needs to be called out. You are a special kind of @$$ for sure!

What are you even talking about? Maybe you should double tornado mask. You just don’t understand the science of so called “hurricanes” (aka “moderate breezes”) like I do. You’d be way better off and safer if you’d stop listening to the “experts” and listen to me or watch some YouTube videos, instead living your life in fear and canceling your appointments. I’d fire that “hygienist”, too whatever that is, for also being such a cry baby.
