    Orlando.... Again
Police job is to apply force.

If you want to deescalate send the guidance counselor.

I'm an engineer, the artists call me when the tools break. They don't call me to paint happy little trees. Know your role, stay in your lane.

If you need the cops, you need force to be applied. It's their purpose. If this isn't what you need don't send the cops.

This is like people going to the ER for a cold. Sure they can help, but it is a gross misappropriation of force.

Y'all think the police need more skills. I think EVERYONE ELSE does.

Ahh yes. The judo Cop. thank you for posting. One of my main spar partners is a huge guy 6’6 with loooong arms and 30 years of judo experience. He bitches at me for not wearing long pants and He can’t kick or punch for shi- but don’t let him get His hands on you. Good friends and Super nice guy though. Last time we went I accidentally drilled him with my heel In his thigh( reallly bad charlie Horse ) when I was trying to roll him over and he quit. He likes to smack down newer people with his giant heavy arm swings across your chest. Knocks the wind out of you if you aren’t expecting it. Like getting hit by a bear and he doesn’t worry about breaking his hand. If the cop in the OP had 5% of my buddy skills that 15yo would have looked silly……never once punching or kicking him
