Theres probably a better one , but Ill go w/ guy I watch every night w/ Orioles.

Austin Hays(LF), former JU Dolphin. Very similar look/approach at plate. Similar size. Langford has potential for more power numbers. Hays currently leading AL in BA btw

Hays a little faster, better arm(elite arm) , better defender,, but hes been playing OF a lot longer... Langfords biggest issue are reads /routes to balls IMO.. nothing reps wont cure for the most part. Dont think hes a MLB CF though. Said same on Fabian, whos now a LF/DH..;)

I would take him ahead of Crews, more upside IMO. Im skeptical of Crews in MLB.

McDonald was saying today he could see Pitt take Langford 1-1 and offer him less than the #1 slot value.. Went on to say hitters have been out performing Ps as far as early picks. But also said most think Skenes is that generational guy. so still expected him to go #1

Pirates paying below 1/1 value is such a Pirate thing.

    Im liking this draft projection...

    17. Baltimore Orioles

    Hurston Waldrep, RHP, Florida

Under GM Mike Elias, the highest the Orioles have drafted and signed a pitcher is the fifth round (they didn't sign last year's third-round pick, Nolan McLean). They're in on Waldrep, though, as well as the bats who fit their power-first-but-with-some-range approach to the draft: Houck, Miller, Davis and Nimmala.
