He's so doggone good, and he still has much to improve on. The next 2 years can potentially be special
They are both taller guys who go up and get the ball. Not all great qbs are like Brady who takes a welker or that other short white guy and throws precision passes on timing. Some qbs need the receivers that go up and get it. Im thinking DJ may be a guy that likes to put it up and let the guy go get it.Jeremiah Smith goes and gets it.
Badger is only 6'1", and Dike is 6'0! I think DJ can throw it up for the tall receivers and get to where the little guys can catch it too. Think Trask who threw to his tall guys (Pitts 6'6", Grimes 6'4", Henderson 6'4") but liked throwing to Toney (6'0) as well.
I guess they arent super tall but they both play tall. They were both really good at going up and getting it.
Dike and Badger were unreal this season. But Burke, Miezel, Hansen, Livingston, were great. Tre is back. We got that Kid from UCLA who is like Badger. If we could snag one more receiver, that'd be huge... Go Gators.
Yeah, some guys have unreal 'ups' (vertical leap ability) and can dominate on those high, contested throws. There must be a metric on how high guys can reach and catch, because body type (arm length and just the geometry of the body can play a role).
You could even move this to his own thread and get plenty of views. He deserves his own thread. Thanks for posting it, ETW.
Why? They caught every pass I saw. We have enough talent. If they want to pick up a one year experienced receiver..we have had good luck.
