Is Rishwain even practicing? Even at the end of yesterday's game, you would have thought that as a grad transfer, Golden would have given him an SEC Tournament memory.

Rishwain almost certainly will be a medical redshirt. Same with Shimmy.

We'll have to go a bit smaller in the NCAAT, so we need Riley ready and primed. Especially if any one of our bigs gets into foul trouble. The margin for error just got smaller.

When Pullin misses free throws, you know he is exhausted. And there sits Riley.

I thought Rishwain was out of eligibility?

He is, but should qualify for a medical redshirt if he requests it.

This makes more sense than the other theories floated. I would have guessed something similar like he broke curfew and left the hotel Friday night. Hopefully that's it, TG believes he sent a message and RK learned his lesson, and he's available this weekend for the tourney.

I don't understand why there are no articles, especially in the Gainesville/Gator media about why Kugel isn't playing. Have the reporters been told not to ask? It really doesn't make any sense.

I'm thinking if that were the case, he would not have dressed.

You sound like you "know" something, or is it conjecture? If you are correct, I don't give us much chance on advancing. A 7-man rotation, with 1 of those being a seldom-used back-up is not a recipe for success espcecially against 2 pissed off play-in teams looking for some respect.

Whatever is going on with Riley, I feel sick to my stomach that we will likely see his departure at the end of the season. Still hope that he can help us during the tournament. Thomas and Condo are both foul prone, so there may be situations in which we have to go small.

seems to me that the NCAAT is more of a "let them play" atmosphere, so need to avoid the reach-in fouls, same with TS

If officiationg is regional, it's likley good to be away from home so the refs won't (hopefully) have it in for us and it's called evenly

Not being a jerk here, but why do you feel that away about him transferring out? I haven’t seen much from him that would indicate he is an upper level SEC talent. I’m sure TG can find someone to fill that void if he transfers out.

Regardless of Kugel's plan for next year, the Gators really need him for the tournament and u would think that every player wants to play in the dance. Hopefully, this is the case & he's good to go for Friday.

Of the various reasons (ineliglible, missed curfew, late or missed a team meeting, etc) thrown out on this thread, any of them would be reason for him to sit last weekend. If he can't get his head on straight, see ya. It doesn't matter how much he's needed, CTFG can't allow that behavior. Coach has to be willing to take the L than to play anyone under those condtions for the good of the program.

He was an upper-level talent in the last 10 games of last season.

that is quite true, he caught magic in a bottle last year, but somewhere along the way, he broke that bottle. Question, is, can he get it back??? He has shown nothing of late to indicate so. He's had good games this year, then absolutely disappears.
