A 15-year-old was gunned down by cops as she ran toward them for help after being kidnapped by her father, all while a deputy helplessly begged for other officers to stop firing, shocking new video shows. Savannah Graziano, 15, was killed on September 27, 2022, after her father, Anthony John Graziano, 45, had murdered his estranged wife Tracy Martinez and abducted his daughter.

The tragic video of the shooting was released Monday after journalists requested it under the California Public Records Act. It shows that Savannah was following their instructions and does not prove, as police had previously claimed, that she was wearing tactical equipment when they shot her dead.

The footage shows the teen slowly moving toward officers along the 15 Freeway in Hesperia as a deputy takes cover by the front wheel of a police SUV. Suddenly, gunfire erupts and the teen is blurred out as she is killed by cops.

'Stop shooting her! He's in the car! Stop! She's OK! He's in the car! ... Stop!' the deputy pleads.

These shameless cowards lied on this poor girl SMH. Glad the video was released to the public.

I watched this last night. It's just sad. The whole video is on Police Activity's YouTube channel. It has the 911 call and everything.

One violent man (pictured) kills her mother, she runs for help and another violent man, supported by taxpayers, shoots her dead. Beyond sad.

I’m not going to watch the video but man… you would think that there were plenty of things they could have done to avoid shooting a child, even if for some reason they thought she was a threat.

Incredibly sad series of events. Officers made a terrible decision.

I only watched it once, but from what I remember, I think she was shot by at least one officer. The one I thought fired at her was using the engine block for cover and fired at her from maybe 10 yards out, as soon as she presented herself in his field of view. I'm not watching it again to confirm. The sad part is hearing a cop having to tell others to quit shooting at the little girl.

To me, it looked like a shit show. It looked like a war zone at one point with plenty of cross fire. In surprised no cops were shot by other cops. I'm pretty sure everyone knew it was a hostage situation but they absolutely shot that vehicle up. You can see rounds hitting the dirt and kicking up dust clouds.

Will the funeral be a political event?

I struggle with believing that this was cold blooded murder, but I will let the facts play out.

No one in that entire department should be able to participate in this investigation.

If this is not cold blooded murder, I also struggle to believe that there were not multiple signs either in training or in earlier service that the individual or individuals who did fire should not have ever had a badge on their chest or a gun in their hand.

Speaks to the broken culture in policing. Shoot first and ask questions later. At war with the community they're supposed to serve.

What danger could a 15 year old girl pose while crawling on her knees and following the instructions of the police?

And then for the gutless cops to lie about it?

    Charge them all with murder

    From the OP-linked article:

“Savannah was seen following cops' instructions, crawling on her hands and knees along the 15 freeway in Hesperia, California, as a deputy takes cover by a police SUV before she is shot dead in a hail of gunfire.”

Horrific. Bad enough they screwed up as it can happen. But, no, they have to lie about it afterwards. Shameful.

It's a symptom of how cops are trained. They "protect" themselves and "serve" their own self interest. The cops will say they were scared because the girl was running toward them, and they didn't know she was a kidnapping victim, so they shot her for their own safety ... that's probably a good enough explanation for the "blue lives matter" crowd.

To be fair, in the video, she is crawling to them on her knees, but once she gets about half way there, it looks like she gets up and starts trotting towards the cops ... she was probably scared out of her mind and wanting to run to what she saw as safety ... horrible outcome ...

Oh shit ... I just watched the full video, and there is audio from a cop's recorder that shows one of the deputies was calling the girl to him, yelling "passenger, get out of the car, come to me, come to me" repeated several times, which she was apparently complying with, when the other cops shot her dead ... she may have gotten up from her crawl because, just before she was shot, the officer yelled "walk, walk, walk, walk"... absolutely no excuse for this... every cop that fired needs a manslaughter charge, minimum.

This happened two years ago, has there been any charges filed against the cops? Someone thinks this is okay ...

Hopefully this will be like an Ahmaud Arbery situation where the video being released forces some DA to take a 4th look at the case ...

WAY WAY TOO MANY COOKS IN THE KITCHEN. you see this all the time. someone j-walks & a dozen cops have to come see what's up. Terrible practice.

back in the late 90s, my wife in I were in an armed bank robbery in St. Louis. Though, I'd never thought about it, I recall insta-thinking, god, I hope the cops don't come. Had they came before the 4 armed dudes ran out, I'd probably be dead. (they did run out, a car chase & gun fight ensued & 1 of them was killed). It seems, in my case, the MO should be to hang back.

I see the cops doing one of the things they do best, which is cover for each other and the crooked politicians they serve. But I do not see anyone here defending the cops.

Based on this I hope you are correct and they are prosecuted. Hopefully the DA doesn’t overcharge them as we have seen in many high profile cases and then they can’t get the conviction.
