A coworker told me that the Gaither HS (Tampa) kicker "committed" to UF. The kid is not currently highly regarded among kickers, but the bio below says he's improving. The coworker (UT fan/Middle Tenn grad) said he hit a 56-yarder this year(?), but the refs said it was no good. He said replays show that was a missed call. "Will Fotopoulos recently competed at the 2023 May Showcase.. He had an excellent showing at the camp and looked as good on field goals as he ever has by scoring 12 points in the charting portion of camp. His biggest kickoff at camp was 74 yards with 3.68 seconds of hang time. He was solid on punts at the 2023 Future Stars Invitational and charted some excellent punts at camp including a big ball of 54 yards with 4.10 seconds of hang time. Fotopoulos has improved since he competed at the 2022 Kohl's Texas Winter Showcase. He had a strong showing in both field goals and kickoffs and continues to make strides in his punting. He scored 10 points in the field goal charting and was able to hit a big ball of 65 yards with 3.56 seconds in the kickoff charting portion of camp. His biggest punt charted was a 49 yard 4.02 second ball. Fotopoulos' mechanics have improved over the last year and his charts are beginning to show that improvement."
