There was a very well rounded performance. More than jsut them... but the freshmen killed it. AK and Mia with Homers... Keegan with the win... and ava had a nice double. That homerun by walsh though.....Katie and Skylar also crushed the ball and can't forget about Korbe.

So what was the deal with the umpire having to leave the game? First noticed when he was being handed his cap, then the other umps came over, he declined water from the Gator trainer, they stood around for awhile, then he left the game.

Also -- It all worked out so no harm no foul, but the rain was really coming down and an obviously slippery ball. Clearly the team was out of sorts and the wheels fell off, leading to errors and runs.

Especially with the rain ending, it seemed pretty unfair that only we had to deal with that -- the game probably should have been paused. But rather than mope, it was great to see them overcome that adversity and get right back in the groove in the bottom of the inning. This team showed big time resilience tonight.

Now that it's over and it turned out the way it did I'm kind of glad it happened. Everry experience helps them grow. I belive they said the ump fainted. One of my favorite moments of the whole game was Coffels first AB when she tried to go to 1st on the check swing then tried to go and instead ended up at the dugout with a looking K. You know Keegan loved it. Many were wanting Coffel to be SEC POY over Wallace last year.

The second strike was an obvious swing. She showed up the ump by going on to first. He paid her back on the 3rd strike. I'll show you, b****.

He collapsed and got back up. I am glad he got checked out at world-class medical facilities. He was cleared and came back Good for him.

I do wanna give credit to Lawson though for not causing a fuss in that game whether it be the weather or umpiring situation. Especially with it going sideways for Kentucky. She's one of the classier coaches. The whole field situation with the pitcher came from the pitcher not Lawson. Some coaches would've thrown a fit to try to get that game paused when the momentum slipped... aka Mike White from Texas.

Good to hear -- I knew that a 3rd umpire was added, but I thought they just called someone in the area.

Turns out the ump who collapsed was Keith Kearney. In the very first video replay ever in the SEC, he called this runner SAFE and upheld the call over CTW's challenge. At the time it was seen as Blue saying, "Screw you! We don't need your stinkin' video replay and intend to ignore it."

It was the same umpire that collapsed that came back in.
