False rape ID's happen over people who don't know each other. Nothing is 100% infallible, not even direct evidence. And witness testimony of those who might not know the alleged offender, or ever saw the person before is an issue, including for the victim trying to identify. False allegations between people who do know each other are a different matter.

    Fair enough.

You would be comfortable with your client providing a definitive answer to an undefined question? You would err on the side of caution.

Did you attend a party with Ford and Kavanaugh?
I don’t know, what was the date. They haven’t said.
    Ok, where was the location.
They haven’t said. Maybe a house near a country club in Maryland.
Well, I don’t remember attending any party with them, but can’t be sure without a date and location.
    Let’s answer no recollection.

There is no way you would recommend for your client to attest to an open-ended question no matter how sure they were about the answer.

Dr. Ford went to Congress and testified. Did you miss that part yesterday? I want to hear what Judge has to say. Fortunately, the FBI will ask him questions and not rely on his lawyer’s one sentence letter.

Of course most likely there are people who have come out of therapy that still make a ton of mistakes. Trauma has a funny way of doing that. It's not likely, although possible, that someone in that circumstance can outsmart a guy like Kavanaugh with a pre-planned, predetermined sinister plan in order to climb her way to the top of the heap. How the hell was she supposed to know back then that Brett would be up for a Supreme Court appointment?

Seems like there are a lot of folks that jump straight to the sinister, scheming, conniving, conspiracy theory honk accusations only to fall into the "it takes one to know one" category. I'm surprised I haven't got the "I know you are but what am I" blast yet.

Seriously. Where do you get the "I hate rich people" nonsense? I beg anyone check my posts that can quote me saying "I hate rich people". Bring it. And when did I connect Brett with the 2008 crash? And why do so many people insist and declare they know more about other people than the people know about themselves, when the insisters(sp?) don't know the other person? They don't even know their freakin' name. I guess the less you know, the more you know. Kinda like a RE developer knows more about politics than professionals within the industry with lifetimes of experience?

"You know, I need a doctor, but I don't want to go to any of those 'career doctors', I'll go to someone with no experience because they know more and I can trust them more that the real doctor".

He is a recovering alcohol and cancer survivor I can see very well why he would not want to appear and be badgered by a panel. Under the circumstances he should be offered the same courtesy offered to Ford by being questioned at Home

As I told you, I'm not going to tell my client to be dishonest or evasive. If they don't know, they don't know. If they do know, I will let them say what they know. Of course, this is assuming they're a fact witness. If they're being investigated, I'm telling them to volunteer nothing unless it exonerates them.

I am 82 years old and my memory is failing to some degree but I would remember a party where a attempted rape occurred even 35 years ago

Wow. You invented a set of questions that no trained investigator or attorney would ever ask and assume an incompetent methodology and then suggest how an attorney would prepare his client. What you posted is the rationale for a professional investigation.

The only people who knew about the attempted rape (assuming it is true) were Ford, Judge, and Kavanaugh. And two of the three were very drunk.

Not of it occurred in a room you did not enter and never knew about it. It might be a party that was indeventful to you and was long forgotten.

Can you find a link proving two were very drunk other than Ford who has a motive to claim they were drunk especially when no one else can verify the party happened. Even fords best friend says she cannot remember ever being at any party with Kavanaugh

Not false, he played down his drinking that his own yearbook and friend's book strongly suggest otherwise, that's why I wrote "basically." It was what was being conveyed, which basically mild drinking. And saying he sometimes "drank too many" other times "friends drank too many" is probably true, but rings awfully deceitful in light of "100 kegs or bust" for which Judge wrote that by mid-March of their senior year the keg count was in the "mid eighties."

So even giving some leeway to Judge engaging in some hyperbole in his book, you really think a bunch of prep school beer-drinking jocks so mildly "drank a few too many beers?" Not in a million years. They partied their asses off like so many teens and then twenty-somethings do.

...then bragged about it and had a rep for it.

I'd call bullshit on my friends from college saying the same thing and on myself if I ever tried to pull such a fast one. .

You would not be able to keep attempted rape a secret. Hell they could not keep a letter from Ford secret and only a few people knew about it

I said assuming her story is true. She testified that they were extremely drunk.

Rape (which is worse than attempted rape) is kept a secret on a daily basis. C'mon, dude.

I literally said assuming it is true.

It could be as accurate as Ford remembering she only had one beer but could not remember when the party was where it was how she got there or how she got home. Sounds like Ford is a liar big time

Here's another big time liar, I guess:
Or you simply don't understand the science behind memory (despite a number of articles having been posted in this thread explaining it). There's also a third option.
