They're barely even questioning him. Most of them are just grandstanding, not questioning, which oh by the way, is killing time off the clock. Cruz is making an artform of it, but then again, he's a liar. I know this to be fact 'cuz Donnie told me so.

They didn’t go after her because the Dems would use it as an attack on women. Playing politics. Embarrassing. If they wanted an FBI hearing it could’ve been done a month ago by Feinstein. 100% of the blame is on her. It you keep fighting the good fight.

    I already made that mistake.

If you check the Chip Kelly thread, on page 136 there is a particularly gross GIF.

They should change the rules/procedures or whatever so that that senators can only ask questions during these things. The grandstanding bullshit spews are a national disgrace. OTOH, it shows what a bunch of ass clowns we have "running" the country.

If you have a weak stomach, like Brett says he has, you probably don't want to know.

You can grandstand just as easily in the form of a question.

The way to prevent it would be for the Senate to have argumentative objections made, but the Committee chair is who would rule on the objection, so...

Just say "it's not my place to decide how the investigation is conducted."

    Say you're right...

You think being a "partier or jock" in high school and college is a dismissable quality from being on the Supreme Court?

Yeah, she also took no action to investigate the claims even if she wanted to keep it confidential as she is claiming. She sat on it until it was politically useful and now they are simply trying to delay. Them trying to play it off as not a political hit job is the least credible thing I have heard today.

As I said before, the issue is that he wants to claim that they were acting like Animal House in terms of drinking and humor but the Victorian era in terms of sex. It isn't credible, which raises the question of his credibility on other more serious issues.

Cornyn just spoke to press briefly.

Says the Republican Conference will meet around 7:15 and discuss where things stand, but his expectation is that the Committee will hold its Executive Business Meeting as scheduled tomorrow morning.

Leahy when asked whether he thinks holding a vote tomorrow would be a mistake: "I thought it was a mistake for them to block the nomination of Merrick Garland for a year. But it doesn't really matter what I think, they're going to do whatever the White House and Mitch McConnell tell them to do."

When asked whether he found Kavanaugh's testimony credible: "I thought it was well-rehearsed. It brought back memories of Clarence Thomas."

    Inside your head.
If the standard for nomination for the federal bench has now become teenage sainthood, the pool of candidates just got exponentially smaller.

No. His lying about it is what concerns me. Just admit boofing is sex and Ralphing was puking from drinking. He straight lied answering those questions. He said he was a virgin for “several years” after high school. I call bullshit.
