Face it If he was cool, calm and unemotional. He'd be accused of being calculated and diabolical Good for him! If you're going to go down, go down swinging!
Reminds me of my college friends. " I didn't pass out bro, I just went to sleep, why'd you draw stuff on my face?"
Wow, now they are saying that he was too mean to Diane Feinstein and it looks bad because she is a woman. These people are ridiculous.
He's not on the bench right now....he's defending serious accusations that he is adamant are not only false but being handled unfairly on the procedural side. His family has been effected. He has every right to call out those attacking him
He should've gone even harder on Feinstein... But he's in no position to oblige her to answer any questions... so... not sure how much that would've accomplished, anyways...
That's the thing -- he judges people "in his place" every day. How many has he left behind bars, despite their vociferous claims of innocence? Even if Kavanaugh were truly innocent (which I doubt), he should understand the reasoning for this sort of a hearing and handle it with a temperament befitting a federal judge. Not throw an indignant temper tantrum. Maybe pounding his fists and crying about a partisan hit job is what he needs to do to sway the votes he needs to sway, but I think it's a sad commentary on what the Court has become -- a purely political creature with no real claim to the neutrality from which it purports to derive its power.
He obviously would have read Ford’s letter in which she states that she asked that her letter not be released.
Democrats are being ridiculous... You can't call a politically orchestrated attack, a politically orchestrated attack... if you do that... "you're being too partisan..."
His testimony will go over well with conservatives, but just reading around a bit, women had a visceral reaction to it. First, how composed she was, and how she would have been treated had she acted the way he did, Many women saying she would have been called emotional. Irrational etc. How partisan it was, for someone seeking to be on the highest court in the land, including his veiled threats for retribution. And how his aggressive emotional behavior might even give her claims more credibility. The post mortems on this will be a really interesting Roarscach test.
The belligerence isn't working.....not a huge leap to visualizing him as a belligerent, aggressive drunk.
So judges aren't people too and wouldn't react like a normal person when their character is assassinated? Kind of a high standard.
Not talking about the letter be released, She could have asked him about the contents in a closed door session during his confirmation.
The way he interrupts and yells over the questioning senator. Absolutely disgraceful. Would he allow a litigant to behave that way in his court? What a self-absorbed, privileged jackass. This is exactly the sort of guy would take what he wants when he's drunk. Zero doubt in my mind of his guilt at this point.
Yeah, judges should be held to a higher standard than the population as far as temperament. More so for judges on the highest court in the land. You know, judge not lest ye be judged and all that jazz?
