Traumatic events often include gaps in memory, especially for fairly mundane details. Memory is much more sensory during trauma.

I didn't demean Dershowitz. I said this is not what he's specializes in and that he's a talking head at this point. Dershowitz is a criminal defense lawyer, and I'm not sure if he's even taking clients anymore. Katz specializes in this. And she's reputable in more than just liberal circles. Partisan hacks can consider her disreputable because they don't like what she does or how she advocates, but that doesn't hold any water in the legal world.
Just doesn't matter to some people that all 4 supposed eye witnesses have all denied knowledge or that the event happened at all.

Well, there was 1 eyewitness to the event (Judge). There was 1 alleged perpetrator (not an eyewitness). There were two people at the house that were not eyewitnesses to the event.

She has stated that it was in the Summer when she was 15. It was 1982. She has never claimed it was late in the decade. 1982 could be reasonably described as early or mid decade.
How you arrived home 8 miles away without a driver's license after an alleged assault is a "mundane detail"? And you contradict yourself when you first say "traumatic events" (obviously including her arrival home) often include gaps, but then you go on to say memory is much more sensory during "trauma" (aka traumatic events).

Yes, transportation is quite mundane. That isn't at all contradictory. Details of events, especially mundane details, are often forgotten while sensory information is retained (e.g., the room was painted blue, it smelled like pine cleanser, etc.). From my own life, when I lost a close family member of mine at a young age, I woke up at my grandfather's house the next day on the couch. I could not tell you how I got there. And my memory is quite good in a normal situation.
Her counsel didn't do her any favors here either apparently. That was an extremely awkward exchange of her saying that she had been hoping the Committee investigators would come to her rather than her having to fly to DC but that couldn't happen, it being noted that Grassley repeatedly offered to have either investigators or the Committee itself travel to California to speak with her, then getting a privilege objection to the question of whether her counsel communicated those offers to her. She's been fairly believable in this testimony so far, but I'm not sure that all of those around her could have done more to make this look like a political game even if they tried.
