Katz lauds decision to move student section

Bring back camping out for games. Then you get the hard core students fans in the Rowdy section. It all went down hill when they got rid of that.

What about alumni that act and look a lot like students? Seats that need a Rowdy PSL so tired old stiff collars don't sit there.

 

An addendum to my earlier post about camping out.

Don't allow frats to make their pledges camp out and then the upperclassmen take the spots just before game time. Make them lose basketball and football seats for such an infraction.

I want REAL fans in the seats that are ready to eat raw meat.

Vandy’s different isn’t it, with the team benches behind the baskets? I did pull up Duke and Auburn on YouTube, and yes the cameras are showing the students jumping up and down. I am sure that I am in the minority, but I didn’t like it. I want a clear view of the team benches, the coaches and the scoring table. Those are integral aspects of the game. I want to watch the game. I get it that the students are going crazy.

 

Making students reserve seats ahead of time seriously cut down on student participation. It sounds nice to grownups, but the rowdies aren't grownups. You couldn't decide at the last minute to join your friends at the game, and you got punished for life happening when you signed up weeks ahead of time and then didn't make it to the game.

Bring back the lines and the rowdiness of the student section will go back up.

 

Every game I attended was behind the benches. Too bad, but hey, you got the Jumbotron now.

So, I wonder what constitutes behind a bench; two rows, 20 rows? Students need to be as close as possible and general admission on hrad ass benches to get them to spend a little energy standing up.
