Trump and his felonies and his demeaning of the military are important points. He is repulsive and anti-democracy and I feel there is a large contingent of anyone but trump voters, myself included.

It would be great if the R party had gotten away from trump, but they haven't and may have handed the presidency to a democrat, again.
All the R's bitching about the Biden presidency or bitching about Harris should prob shut the hell up and maybe get an adult on the ticket.

I would agree the real Trump Derangement Syndrome, blindly following the defeated indicted deranged former president is still running rampant on this board.

According to Trumpers, we’re just suppose to shut up and deal with all of his flaws and faults without ever talking about him even though he is the GOPs nominee for president, lol. Any type of mild criticism or mentioning Trump’s name = TDS. Lol, the amount of butt hurt they get over truthful statements about their cult leader is cute, though.

During Kamala’s term as VP, we’ve seen record setting inflation but after three-plus years of misery, we’re supposed to now believe she has any clue how to fix the problem? Heck, just hearing her speak on economic issues is cringeworthy.

Kamala Harris having any clue on economic matters? No. But is Kamala Harris anyone but Trump? Yes, and despite being a terrible candidate, that is what will get her elected

You seem to have a fixation for the phrase "record setting inflation". While the rate inflation was the highest it's been in 40 years for a few months in 2022 it wasn't remotely as high as it was in the '70s when the rate hit double digits in 1973-74 and again in 1979-80. And even with a rate sightly above 9% it was still lower and didn't last as long as inflation in most other advanced industrialized countries. By the way for the first time in three years the year to year rate of inflation was below 3%.

That’s literally your only reply 90% of the time regardless of the thread.

You have almost nothing to offer here.

And I agree 100% with you.

But why can’t some people stick somewhat to the topic and evaluate Harris’s proposed policies?

Should those of us not on the Trump train just sit back and shut up?

What about life long Indy’s. Should they not have a chance to discuss these same topics?

I’d just like the actual details. It sounds like a bunch of sounds bites that test well with some voters.

There have been a couple here trying to discuss the details and being critical of them.

Why are you telling me this?

Also, you spend 90% of your time shilling either for the convicted felon, or for the "political party" that lies for him and enables him.

Why are you taking valuable time away from that to express an opinion to me that I literally care about to absolutely no degree whatsoever?

Misery? What misery? Do you have retirement or other investments? If yes, how miserably are they doing?
As for economic matters, we can only hope that Harris is no Trump, what will all the bankruptcies (including the moral ones).

One thing in that video that struck me was when the Canadian said “we think you’re all nuts. we’re just watching from afar and enjoying it.”

We saw a friend today who is now living in England. We asked him what do they think of the US and he replied they think we’re crazy. They think our politics is silly.

I think the US has lost a lot of respect in the world and I don’t know if either candidate can restore it.

Ahhh, so now you aren't so in favor of free markets? You want to emulate socialists? Just so long as there is an R next to the name of the socialist policies?

I really don’t understand why Biden is being blamed for the record high inflation rates the ENTIRE world had to deal with since 2021.

Following Covid, consumers around the world increased their demand for goods, which suppliers had difficulty meeting. However, the global supply chain issues have slowly been resolved and suppliers no longer have an excuse to inflate their prices anymore.

Inflation hit us even harder in the Caribbean, as everything has to be imported. What people are complainig about in the US is nothing compared to what we had to deal with following Covid.

It's true that people in other nations view the U.S. as a wild cowboy shit show. What do you think it the primary source of those feelings?

I wonder if having a convicted felon running for President has an impact on that?

Perhaps they are surprised that approximately half the electorate appears willing to vote for a candidate who the entire country knows accepted election help from Russia?

It must confuse them that someone who literally enacted a criminal conspiracy to overturn an election...just might be elected President again.

I know, I know....his opposition was first considered too old. And now perhaps too liberal. Crazy, unusual stuff!

When you consider it, the surprise would be if they HADN'T lost respect for us.
