The curtain was pulled back on Biden 4 weeks ago, and he's now withdrawn with the party moving forward. The curtain was pulled back on Trump years ago, and yet...

And I have accused the Republicans of the same thing here

But...It wasn't balls. It was self preservation. No chance they do that if Biden was polling well.

    Zero chance.

Had he come out at the first debate and not looked like a hospice patient he’d still be the nominee. Even with poor polling numbers. The reason he’s been replaced is because of the debate.

Ridiculous take. A frog boils in slowly turned up heat but Biden actually jumped out. We are just debating when everyone should have known it was too hot. It’s an opinion.

Reagan had Alzheimer's, and the last few months of his presidency, he was starting to show signs. His son in the link above, and some of his aids admitted this years later. I don't think Biden has Alzheimer's, but he did show his age in the debate. And while he can finish his term out the next few months without issue, the big question on many voters' mind is can Biden do another four more years? And to them, that answer is no.

This election comes down to turnout. If Harris and bring out younger voters, minority voters, and convince enough undecided voters she is the lesser of the two evils, she has a chance of winning. We'll know more after the convention. If she gets a good bump, then it's game on until November.

Lol. Ron Reagan who all but hated anything his dad stood for?

    He was 73. Not 83.

The American public showed zero concern when he won 49 states.

    Comparing the two is laughable.

Lets not forget that Reagan bounced back with a strong second debate.

Also had he had Alzheimer's that early on, he likely would not have been in the still decent condition several years later when he told the American people he had the diagnosis.

Ron Reagan is a hack man. Even you have to know that.

Of course you are right about polling, but there is still a question regarding why Biden’s polling went south when some very serious issues haven’t seemed to dim Trump’s presidential hopes at all.

A friend of mine has said the same thing. He worked in the H.W. Bush DOJ and closely with attorneys who worked for Reagan. You can huff and puff all you want. Doesn't change what happened.

IDK. Haley or DeSantis were a slam dunk in the general against anything the D's had to offer. Instead they chose a chance in overtime. That's an inexcusable level of stupidity that I simply can't vote for. Self preservation? More like self destruction.

And he sends email to all the hundreds of attorneys in his firm and asks them to donate to the dem candidate.
And then he sends out a shaming list of those that did and those that didn't donate.

We have video. He never looked like Biden for any length of time. And none of that makes what the democrats did 40 years later any more OK.

It's already game on. The entire dynamic of the election has flipped. Up to this point, the central issue of both campaigns was Biden's age. That's now gone and Trump is now the oldest nominee in US history. That alone makes this an entirely new game.

However, the country has a very short collective attention span, so I'm guessing this will settle in soon enough and the hype will wear off. And then it's up to Harris to show that she isn't an empty suit, something she's failed to do in the past.

It will be interesting what they will do in a few weeks when Harris continues to poll poorly. Presumptive nominee are the key words with emphasis on presumptive. Feel bad for the 14 million or so voters who voted for Biden but were catfished by the savers of democracy in the Dem party.

Reagan regularly fell asleep in meetings, including with the Pope.

No one is debating if Reagan was in his 70's.lol My dad does it too.
But my dad is 75 and as sharp as ever, even while showing signs of age in other ways.
