I am sure Democrats have a million excuses, but how can you screw this up?

Figures Democrats will justify it. Why bother to teach and learn it? It’s just words.

So I guess that is it. Who’s justifying it. But imo it’s not quite a big gotcha to go racing over to thfsg to start a thread on. But, fair enough. Agree, she flubbed a word. Going forward we’ll use that level of error for the potus for the next 4 years. Sound ok?

We have had threads started about Biden tripping going up the stairs to Air Force One, Trump hands shaking while trying to drink some water after saluting the graduates at West Point, and now Harris flubs the Pledge. So the trend has extended for several years.

We have pretty good coverage here.

I learned more about Two Corinthians from Too Hot than I did in Sunday School.

Unh? Did you mean it seems “un” American that she flubbed a word?

It’s a little short of rape and insurrection. I’ll let it go.

    MAGA thinks it goes…

I pledge allegiance to Trump, of the United States of Trump, and to Trump, for which Trump stands, One Trump, Under Trump, with liberty and justice for Trump.

Does anyone know which of her many accents Kam was using when she messed up the Pledge?

Sounds like she slipped up and started to say I pledge allegiance to the United Sta… instead of I pledge allegiance to the flag. This is definitely a strange attempt at… whatever this is. A gotcha moment? Over flubbing a word? Possibly one of the lamest attempts I’ve seen. Makes the tan suit seem sane.

Double standards on these things keeps getting crazier. I’d love to see Trump lead the pledge of allegiance. No teleprompter. One glass of water.

Even as a kid, I thought it was dumb to pledge allegiance to "The Flag" and not the country itself. I'm pledging allegiance to a piece of cloth? If she started to say she was pledging allegiance directly to the United States, then it makes way more sense that way.

She's the Vice President of the United States. The standard is supposed to be higher for her.

And I'll be honest, I've recited the Pledge of Allegiance thousands of times. I've never once made the error she made, which was honestly pretty pathetic. Heck if you aren't versed on it, could she not have practiced it once in her head an hour or two before?

The Pledge of Allegiance is one of the easiest things to remember in this country.

I remember reciting the pledge when I was in first grade with the phrase "one nation invisible" coming immediately to mind.
