This one came seemingly out of nowhere! Or coming from USF, it should have been expected? One roster spot left.

I can see why he would want to follow Coach Golden, looking at the drop off in his stats (especially shooting percentages) this past season.

Blew out his knee in January, I wonder if he’s coming to play this year or next year (2024)?

6'5" guard that hits 43% from deep.

    Sounds great. 4 guard offense?

Digging a little deeper (and seeing Apex's post) - He was having a very substantial drop off in production last year before the injury. Minutes were there, just couldn't shoot. Maybe there's more to that story.

There's no doubt coach knows Julian well and has reasons to use one of our extra ships on the kid. Maybe he's a great locker room guy / gym rat / who knows...

Here's to finding that 43% stroke again!!

If he his healthy and can revert to his form under Golden, Rishwain is a terrific take as a veteran shooter who knows the system. Even if he isn’t healthy this year, he gives you some immediate experience next year, when we expect to lose Pullin, likely Kugel, possibly even Clayton or Richard, depending on how things go.

I sure hope we lose Kugel next year.

I would think Julian only has one year of eligibility left. He's played four seasons alerady.

Or are you thinking he plays next year ('24/25) if he sits out this year. If that's the plan, I'm less excited about two years of scholarship here - but I'm happy to be pleasantly surprised!

I'm 100% with you on the importance of him knowing the system. Worst case - you got another guy on the floor in practices that is helping "coach" other players into the right position/movements.

Apparently Golden promised him a NC ring. I guess that means we are getting it this year. Great!

    And welcome aboard.

Nice to see we are returning to the Mike White tradition of bringing in someone who won't be available until late December or January at the earliest.

I understand that ACLs take a year to rehab. That means he will be ready to play here in January. Good for him.

Um, where have I heard that prognosis before? On second thought, never mind. Still, welcome!

And he's left handed (not necessarily underhanded). o_O
That's the sign of a star.

Where are you coming up with him being left-handed?

2 things. First, the kid is likely to be the 11th or 12th man in the rotation, so who cares. Second, what Mike White players weren’t available until late December or January?

I was thinking of him taking a medical year, but not sure how freely they do that with the Covid year.

This was a joke about when a certain player would be healthy enough to play.

You are going to have to enlighten me. I cannot remember who Mike White brought into the program who would not be able to play until late December or January.

It was the recovery of Ebugnu (sp?). He was supposed to be ready to play in January.

Billy Donovan brought Egbunu into the program. He redshirted in Donovan’s last season at Florida and was healthy in Mike White’s first year at UF. He did get injured in the latter part of his final season at UF.
