Judy Coughlin sadly passed away today at 77. She had a very big presence in Jacksonville during their time there and with the Jay Fund. Thoughts & prayers to the Coughlin family. Judy Coughlin, wife of Super Bowl-winning head coach Tom Coughlin, dies at 77 Incredible words by Tom: "I've spent my entire life preparing for some of the biggest games a person could play, but nothing can prepare you to be a caregiver who has to watch a loved one slip away," wrote Coughlin. "I am not seeking sympathy. It's the last thing I want. It's the last thing that most caregivers want. Taking care of Judy is a promise I made 54 years ago when she was crazy enough to say 'I do.” "I do want the players I coached in college and in the NFL who thought all my crazy ideas about discipline, commitment and accountability ended when they left the field to know that is not the case. The truth is that is when those qualities matter most. A friend said we don't get to choose our sunset, and that's true, but I am so blessed to get to hold Judy's hand through hers."
@audiogatorjim You disagreed when I commented about Coach Coughlin address was a sad thing ? What kind of idiot are you ?
What! I must have it that button by mistake, I rarely rate anyone anyway and would NOT disagree ever. Honestly, I thought all of the replies to the original post of her passing and Tom’s response were just beautiful and heartfelt. It warmed my heart to read those. Tom’s response was one of the most beautiful yet painful testimonies to a lossed love I’ve ever read. It actually brought tears to my eyes. I assure you in no way did I disagree with you on your post!!
Had I or anyone disagreed with your post on this matter and meant it, I could think of much more harsh adjectives than idiot! I just can’t believe I did that! No offense taken by me.
I was wrong saying that and I know . Guess the emotion of it got the best of me . I know you are a smart person
