Came close, 2 in 3 years back in the Tebow era.

I know UF has other back to back natty's in various sports.

It is encouraging getting positive feedback from various sources.

I see no reason that it can't be the Gators that are a surprise team in 24 even with the tough schedule. Got a decent QB room, seemingly improved offensive line, good backs and perhaps speed at the wide outs.

Seeming similar stories coming from the defense, which, absolutely must improve significantly in all areas. If UF has any chance to return to prominence the defense needs to be in the upper third, statistically, in the SEC.

Looking forward to punishing the Canes come opening day. Sure, it would nice to start with a cup cake, for all of the usual reasons, but UF starts off with a high intensity opener and hated rival.

It's exciting to think about and I look forward to the opener.
