You really start a thread about race and then complain that others are playing the race card?
BTW, I'd heard about the killing before you posted this. Keep in mind, you posted a story from Newseek in order to complain that the media wasn't covering it.

At the time I posted the story Newsweek was the only major news agency reporting it. I don't think the people we normally think of as MSM are carrying it yet. I heard about it over the weekend through social media and was wondering when it would be picked up by the news media. When I saw in the Newsweek article that he had died I went ahead and posted it.
Actually the story and the way the first two posts were presented were about way more than race. The questions were where is the news media? We worry about school shootings but gang violence we are to ignore? And the question raised, why no arrests.

I'd read it the day before you posted. It was out there.

CNN, MSNBC, New York Times, FOX, ABC? I don't think you will find a major news agency with a time line dated before Monday.....I could be wrong but I don't think so.

Was anything I said in the first two posts of this thread anything but the truth?

Truth? It was all speculation as to why it wasn't a bigger story. And fairly lame speculation at that. You really think if there were a gun involved or if a black teen had been shot to death it'd be a top national story on every outlet?
And you're implying that there hadn't been an arrest yet because the kid was white?

Speculation? Even if it was speculation how many too hot stories a day start with a link to a story where the crime is called alleged, that is speculation and you know damn well if a gun had been involved it would have been front page news on day one. My question about why there had not been an arrest was an honest question. I think we all asked the same question in the Alec Baldwin case. But it was thrown out there for discussion, isn't this what too hot is all about? Oh by the way I see CNN has finally picked up the story, did it all of a sudden become a important to them? I say no, it just became big enough that they could not continue to ignore it.

I'm not saying there's anything necessarily wrong with speculation, but speculation is not 'truth.'
And I do think your particular claims in this case made no sense. Again, do you really think if he were a black teen shot and killed by another teen that it'd be national news? Because every black teen murdered is a huge story?

I don't think they're arguing that a Black teen killed by another Black teen(s) would necessarily be national news. If anything, many conservatives have argued that "Black on Black" crime doesn't get enough attention - I will leave that aside for now, but I think what people are arguing here is that the killing would have been assumed racist (and received more coverage and public outrage) had the teenage victim been Black and the teen mob of killers had been White. That may seem like a minor distinction, but at least that's how I'm interpreting the response to this story. I will say that after all sorts of mass shootings and crimes, I can usually make a decent guess about the race of the perpetrator and/or the victim based upon which media outlets focus on them first.

At a school by a gang of white boys? Sorry if I used the word gang but that is exactly what it is when a group of 10-15 attack.

No idea. Would the media and most of the left on here speculate it was race related if it was a black kid who was killed and all the kids who did it were white? Wondering if you will be honest with your answer.

Follow the posts, there was no animosity in this thread until post #13 when dangole questioned why I politicized it. Then in the next post which has been deleted VAg8r accidentally posted a pic of buffalo horn guy. I knew it had to be posted by accident but noticed Coop gave it a fistbump. Ridgetop questioned VA about posting it and VA quickly deleted it and apologized for posting that picture in the wrong thread. I commented that it was obvious from the start that it was posted by accident but questioned why Coop would give such a post a fistbump. That is when all hell broke loose and the regular ultra liberal posters piled on. I never intended this thread to get nasty, read my tone in the first 15 or 20 posts.

I hadn't read that all the attackers were black. Link?

No, I'd probably just lie. That's so cool that you found me out ...

To be clear, I think it's a fair question. But the other side of that coin was Tucker and Fox News focusing on a story about a mob of Black folks assaulting a White woman. As the facts came it, it turned out that the woman's boyfriend was Black, and he got into an argument with the group who was standing in their path. The White woman was pushed down but not serious hurt. Her Black boyfriend was beaten and put in the hospital. If I recall, the couple was also reportedly robbed. This was all after Tucker did a story about Democrats wanting a race war and concluding that White people are under attack. I cite that example just to say that lots of these stories are filtered through a partisan lens, particularly when they first break.
