I agree with the sentiment although let's keep in mind that the MAGA Republican Party is more like a cult centered around the worship of a charismatic demagogue than a normal political party. Even if they could there is no way that they're going to replace their Dear Leader.

 

When did that happen?

 

The man is in the most powerful office in the world and is making the choice to pass the torch. That is what a patriot does. He could have doubled down, refused to give up his power, and then tried to arrange a coup if he lost.

 

Beats a criminal who can boast that he has immunity for some of the things he did; sexually assaulted Jean Carole: kept top secret documents and lied about there whereabouts to the FBI and tried to secrete them; defrauded New York State; defrauded people who took his real estate course. And tried to stay in power with a fake electors scheme. And his supporters saw and heard it all and call bringing him to justice “law fare.” And they think the immunity decision and the absurd decision in Smith render him innocent. And will vote for him anyway. It is really a reflection on them that Trump runs the country and there is no room for a Liz Cheney or Mitt Romney. I find the smug posting here by his supporters offensive.

The most amazing thing about this whole situation is that it took Biden’s disastrous debate performance to finally make Dems realize that he was mentally unfit to handle to handle the Presidency. I mean, what rock were the Democrats hiding under the last year or so?
