There are a lot of similarities, and if he has not proven shit yet. He’s about to get his chance, but has proven nothing of being better than mine yet. If he gets a good job and blows it up like mine that they both suck.
His record at ole miss is far better than mullens was at state. He may never win anything but as of now he is an easy choice over Mullen in my book. Old news now, but I never liked the hire for UF. We s/have let UT have him.

A&M is only going to hire a proven winner, ideally at the SEC level. Dabo is compelling. I could see it happen. And could see him as a good cultural fit. Kiffen has shown he can hang with the big boys in the SEC West. I bet with A&Ms resources, he could win. And he's the type that makes them a fun team to watch from day 1. Dabo would take a bit longer, IMO. And wouldn't have the luxury of an ACC schedule to pad his wins in those rebuild years.

Facts like: More players left under UF via the portal under Mullen's tenure than entering UF via the portal. Please note that a lot of these player were from the top 20 national recruiting classes. Classes that he recruited A coach who went from 8-3 in conference in 2020 to 2 and 6 in 2021. A coach who in October of 2021 "did not promote an atmosphere of compliance". A coach who continued to hold on to an inept defensive coordinator Todd Grantham for two or three seasons too many. Am I and other people on this board hot for Kiffen? I am not, and so are a lot of other people on this board. Mullen wrecked this program big time. Was Napier the right guy to come in and fix this mess? The jury is still out. It takes more than two or three seasons to fix a train wreck like Napier walked into.
Stoops is making $9 million/yr so not sure about the cheap part. I knew he was making a good amount didn’t realize it’s that high. Of course the way things are headed that might be cheap in a year or two
Lanning already came out and gave a pretty passionate speech slamming all doors to A&M. He's not leaving.
Usc was his only shot as he left Tenn after a year. He failed but that was very early in his career. Someone will give him a shot. I think he fails again but we will see in real time.
Not sure why I have to keep repeating this, but NO, I'm not a Mullen man. Just stating that they're pretty much the same guy and AGAIN that the respective resumes bare that out. Yes, I knew what you meant, but your post was a response to my comment that as soon as Mac's recruits were gone. Mullen showed the following season what he could do without the previous coach's recruits, absolutely nothing. Which was what we were going to keep seeing had he stayed, because he sucked at recruiting.
