Where I strongly disagree with you here is that Hamas and a not JUST a terrorist regime, it is also the governing body of Gaza. That needs to end, once and for all.

And, in the point of fighting for its existence, I suppose that semantically, Israel is doing just that. I say that because its enemies want to eradicate an Israel, and thus they must defend against all such attacks, even though their present enemy (Hamas) does not appear to have the capability to succeed.

In other words, when someone says they must kill you, and it is clear and obvious that they will never stop trying until they kill you,you have a right to decapitate their ability to kill you first.

The rest of the people of Gaza tried to get rid of Hamas. Hamas killed hundreds of them and refused to hold any more elections. They need outside help to get rid of Hamas. I don't think killing thousands of civilians is the outside help they need to get rid of Hamas.

Who could argue with this logic? But, as harsh as it sounds, the enemy that seeks to destroy Israel cowers behind civilians. Israel is doing what it can to do protect against collateral damage (admittedly a callous term) in this War. But this is a War. And the civilians are placed in this mortal danger because of their governing body. Until that murderous, raping, torturing, kidnapping governing body is decapitated, the War wages on.

Clearly, given my posting history, we all know I’m not smart enough to conceive a better solution than prosecuting this War to its needed conclusion. But I’ve yet to hear a single idea that ends this War, and its goals, other than prosecuting the War to its conclusion.

The hostages must be released, and Hamas must fully and unconditionally surrender. These goals are not negotiable from Israel’s perspective. How do we get there other than through the prosecution of the War?

The question and solution revolve around 2 simple questions:

    1. If Israel withdraws from Gaza, would Israel stop killing Hamas fighters and Palestinians?

    2. If Israel withdraws from Gaza, would Hamas fighters and Palestinians stop killing Israelis?

The answer to question 1 is yes and the answer to question 2 is no.

Israel will win the war and control the peace because it has to. A 2-state solution is no longer on the table in Israel, not that Palestinians would have ever accepted it as the Israelis are monkeys and pigs to be exterminated occupying Palestinian lands.

A better question is what is Israel's end game? Even better, how many time has Israel and and Arab terrorist organization like the PLO and/or Hamas been doing this same song and dance routine, and why hasn't Israel come up with a long lasting peace yet? And why will this time be any different?

Heck, throughout history, when has a superior military achieved a permanent victory over terrorist embedded in the local population and achieved a lasting peace after said military victory? I honestly can't think of one example. This is the reality facing Israel today.

You can pay lip service to a full victory and peace, but there is no roadmap in history that lays out how Israel can actually achieve this. It's sad, but also true. Don't you think if Israel could have figured out a way to defeat Arab terrorists and achieve a lasting peace, they would have figured out the answer by now?

There are only two ways the ME violence ends. One is total destruction of at least one side. But that's not going to happen. Arab surrogates won't allow Israel to destroy Palestine, and the US won't allow anyone to destroy Israel. The other is both sides truly wanting peace. Maybe, hopefully, one day this happens.

Until then, the harsh reality is Palestinians are going to continue to hate Israel and lob missiles, and Israelis are going to have bomb shelters. And Israel is going to continue and have to continue to respond to terror attacks. But with true victory being impossible, these responses need to be mitigated. At one point, a prolonged response only ensures the next generation of terrorists will be ready to go one day. Wash, rinse, repeat.

Any analysis that does not start with the recognition of the Israel and Palestinian dynamic being irreversibly changed on October 7, 2023 has an anti-Israel bias. When Hamas barbarically attacked Israel killing the largest number of Jews since WWII, the status quo became unacceptable and obsolete to Israel. The look of peace in the future will be decided on Israeli terms, whatever that peace is to be.

Jihadi Maher Bitar and Dictator Biden likely knew about these tunnels from Gaza to Egypt:

Israel Lifts the Veil on Gaza-Egypt Terror Tunnel Network (townhall.com)

Israel announced on Friday that close to 700 tunnel shafts have been found in the final Hamas stronghold of Rafah along with 50 Hamas terrorist tunnels between Gaza and Egypt.

The disclosure came as part of attorney Gilad Noam’s defense of Israel before the International Court of Justice against false allegations of genocide brought by South Africa.

“These tunnels are used by Hamas to supply itself with weapons and ammunition, and could potentially be used to smuggle out of Gaza hostages or Hamas senior operatives,” Gilad explained.

Egypt is not an innocent player in the Israeli Palestinian War:

Israel War Room on X: "Nearly 700 tunnel shafts have been identified in Rafah, with ~50 tunnels crossing into Egypt, revealed @DrGiladNoam at today's sham @CIJ_ICJ hearing. Those tunnels are used to smuggle weapons to Hamas and can be used to smuggle senior terrorists and/or hostages out of Gaza. https://t.co/UAgvyTCoJk" / X (twitter.com)

I read an article earlier in the week that Turkey was giving medical care to more than 1,000 Hamas fighters. It's now not hard to see how those injured fighters might have found their way to Turkey through Egypt.

Egypt keeps the borders shutdown to civilians thereby extending the war and causing more civilian deaths while allowing arms and supplies to go to Hamas and for the Hamas fighters to be able to have a safe haven in Egypt. This may also account for why the IDF is walking through Rafah largely unopposed up until this point.

The hostages? They could be dead or just about anywhere now after finding these tunnels between Rafah and Egypt. Any hostages found dead are blood on Joe Biden's hands courtesy of Jihadi Maher Bitar. Among the hostages are 5 Americans Joe Biden has turned his back on with his terrorist supporting positions.
