Napier better show Smith he can dial up more then just hitch routes before the sticks to get this dude to flip!
Do you question why a 5* recruit would choose to attend a cupcake game rather than a big rivalry game? When I saw that Smith choose this game to attend it caused me to ask why. I also think this recruit ends up at OSU but interested to see how he is playing the recruiting game in the NIL era.
My gut says he sticks with Brian Hartline and OSU, with a slim chance that he follows all of his high school teammates to Miami.
Hope Billy can sell a vision with the best of them, because I can’t imagine a top WR wanting in on this offense.
It's amazing that our coaches even encouraged them to come to this flat boring game. They should know how these types of games go. These game with lesser team always disappoint becasue the fans are always flat. It's been that way forever.
If we would have played as cleanly as we did against McNeese and UT it could have been. The first quarter was awesome. We basically played the same way we did vs Utah without the catastrophic special team mistakes. I might be in a he minority but I don’t think Billy is a bad play caller as much as he just needs help redesigning the route tree.
He just had his “adversity on the field” moment… https://youtube.com/shorts/CL47A7Axtx4?si=-5f8Pyo8chjzXbg7
may not have been but i still don’t think this would have had an effect either way. It’s more about building relationships and getting him on campus when we can, no telling when he’ll be able to get back to UF considering he’ll probably visit FSU and Miami at some point as well as OSU. I would circle him coming back for the FSU game as the OSU game the following day is in Michigan
He’s there with his parents until 2pm today. Dude don’t say much so who knows where we stand. Would shock me if he commits anywhere but OSU.
