He's very smart, a great troller and according to tax lawyer Robert Barnes, he runs a clean business. When you play golf as well as he does at his age it tells me he's a good thinker. His granddaughter Kai is a scratch golfer (0 handicap) and she says grandpa still beats her fairly often (I'd guess 20% of the time at least,).

Vance's speech is being called the second best Munich Security Conference speech since the one delivered by Putin in 2007. 22 minutes of truth that shook Europe to its core.

The Europeans are incredibly angry with what JD Vance said but they haven't challenged him on the substance of his speech.

I would also add the Stephens in no liberal. He was previously a columnist at the Wall Street Journal and his columns were very critical of Biden during Old Joe's presidency. Philosophically he could be described as a Reagan Republican adding that Reagan Republicans have become extremely rare having been replaced in today's Republican Party by members of the Cult of Donald who worship their Dear Leader or Republicans that are so intimidated by the Cult and its Dear Leader that they've become spineless sycophants.

Trump is a populist. He touts ideas that are popular. MAGA is the he opposite of a cult. Note how MAGA changed Trump's speeches regarding vaccines.

In 2015/2016 Trump learned what ideas were popular by paying someone to monitor Rush Limbaugh and Michael Savage (according to Robert Barnes)
