Stumbled upon this today…..JWill in a nearly 3 hour interview.

About 80% is his time in the NBA, and they hardly ask on FL….but still it’s very entertaining……he’s a great storyteller and very funny.

It’s raw, so careful with little ears, but it’s very enjoyable.

    He’s such an entertaining character.

How much would you be expecting to talk about Florida given how long he played here compared to other places??

Well it is a 3 hour interview …..

And he would have, they just didn’t ask. But what a great storyteller.

One of the best stories I know of was a show and tell when he single handedly beat Kentucky for us.

I agree, but to be fair, his connections are a bit stronger than being here a year. His wife is also a former Gator athlete, and his daughter, Mia, is a current Gator softball player.

Funny story from her mom about Mia committing to Florida at age 12:

He still comes to a couple of games each season.

Mentioned he’d like to do some coaching, but doesn’t want the full commitment.

Good interview, and I’m always struck how humble he is.

Jason was the most exciting Gator basketballer I ever saw. It was so unfortunate that we had him for less than a full season and with a less-than-stacked supporting cast around him. Can you imagine what he would have accomplished with the likes of Mike Miller, Udonis Haslem, Teddy Dupay, et al?

He wasn’t exactly the same, but we were graced with a pretty dang good replacement in Brett Nelson.

Ladarius Halton punched him in practice right before the NCAAT, fracturing a facial bone. Brett had to wear a mask on the court and that seemed to be a turning point. Halton should have been booted right then and there.
As a senior, Halton was asked to play point, I believe, and it hurt his productivity (or maybe he was a point guard and moved to 2-guard, I don't recall exactly). He also put on weight, which didn't help.
