I don’t know anything about Sound of Freedom, but Cuties is an amazing film. I hesitated watching for a long time due to its controversy, but it’s so good and was so mischaracterized that I now view it as the poster child for wrongful cancellation. If Sound of Freedom is half as good, I’m in.

That leaves Hank Sr, ans a small sampling of Johnny Cash , Merle Haggard, Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, Charlie Pride, Ray Charles, and Patsy Cline...

....while omitting their latter work, plus ALL of Charlie Daniels, Bocephus, Dolly Parton, Reba McIntyre, Tanya Tucker, Kenny Rogers, George Strait, Tim McGraw, Garth Brooks, Alan Jackson, Faith Hill, Shania Twain, and Toby Keith...off the top of my head.

Even shuffing 'the latter works' of the former group's to the former group, the latter still blows the former away by a country mile.

    TitleTown, USA
Stomp on the flag and light it up
    Yeah, ya think you're tough
Well, try that in a small town
See how far ya make it down the road

That sure sounds like, "We will end your life over a constitutionally protected activity"

A dude from Macon shoots a video in front of a courthouse over 350 miles away from his hometown, and some folks think that's totally random? Like there aren't any small towns near Macon and the closest small town he could find was 5 hour drive away? Come on, man.

I don't see where BET and MTV come into play. They aren't the ones who aren't showing the video because they never were going to show it in the first place. Take it up with CMT.

Also, I'm going to go ahead and add it to the list:
    ------------------------------
    Ben and Jerry's
    Chick-fil-a
    Bud Light
    Target
    Books
    Disney
    Common Core
    Starbucks
    Carhartt
    The Little Mermaid
    Dixie Chicks
    Starbucks again
    Kohl's
    Nike

Yep, we never took it as serious… it was just performative. That whole LP is dark and grimy. Stop Being Greedy is my favorite cut off the album. We used to play it on heavy rotation back in college.

Yet this is what drew people to outrage. Funny how it’s always right wing messaging that gets our cultural betters out of their coma when it comes to apparent cultural decay.

Glorify defending yourself and your community, that’s cancelworthy. Glorify wanton violence and rape, completely normal. It’s art.

Isn’t he also friends with Kanye who said something along the lines of “Hitler had a point” on Alex Jones’s show?

If anybody in those circles said something like that about Black people, you know the cancel mob would be out in full force.

    Define irony here.

And delicious, while you're at it.

Bc neither conventional definition has any application at all here.

Cmt hasn’t played country music in a at least a decade. They just did Aldean the biggest favor of his career. That song will be #1 for months. I personally don’t care for Aldean having had some interactions with him but I doubt he knows lynching history (very few do) and intentionally filmed at that location. The people commenting on this have never listened to a single country song. There simply isn’t much room for personal opinion in the internet age with most just repeating what the overlords want them to say.

    And there you have it...

...the puppet master pulled strings, and its social justice warriors ran to their keyboards and sprang into action...

    "...all hands on deck...man your
    stations...prepare for battle!"

Who needs AI, when the human mind has already been roboticized.

Notice how they’ve deflected the topic from this country music artist to focusing on rap. Typical deflection tactics lol

I think that there is a deeper implied message behind what he said that you are either not seeing or are ignoring.

Rap does glorify violence, I won’t deny that, but a lot of it is reporting on what they experience in their environments. It’s not really the same. But, as bad as the DMX lyrics were on the surface, I don’t think it was intended to be taken literally or seriously.

About as ironic as suggesting a person who watches BET, is racist.

Perhaps your problem is the patent Inability to see black ppl, beyond the racist roll you've assigned to them, while equating black, with a political movement known as BLM.

    #clueless&racist

Now they’ve managed to squeeze Biden’s name into the topic. Lol. Typical righty deflection tactics.
