The real Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS) is Donald Trump's extreme form of Narcissistic Personality Disorder which prevented him from publicly conceding that he lost the election. The failed insurrection of January 6, 2021 was the culmination of Trump's failure to accept reality combined with his gift of convincing his gullible and willfully ignorant followers that he really won the election and that it was their obligation to correct the injustice.

If you want to dispute this, please produce the order from Trump. We both know that you can't. So you will try hand waving and distraction to actual evidence to back your claims.

Not if you know any history. Failed insurrections are quite common, actually. Brazil had a failed one after the Trump one failed. You can go through history and find that the failed (often comically failed) attempt to take over government is a common early event in authoritarian regimes. The Beer Hall Putsch is probably the most famous, but hardly the only such event.

You haven't provided a single piece of evidence that the event wasn't a civil, violent uprising with the intent to prevent the functioning of the government, in this case, the transfer of power. If you can't, perhaps it is you who is looking foolish here.

 

Failure of an insurrection doesn't mean it wasn't an insurrection attempt. There have been more failed insurrections that successful ones throughout history. Now ask yourself, had the masses reached Pelosi, Pence, and the other politicians that day, would the insurrection attempt have failed?

As for the votes, in a state like Arizona, the 2020 votes have been counted, recounted, audited, and audited again. All with the same results. If the Ds cheated in 2020 in Arizona when there was a R Governor and R Attorney General, why didn't the Ds cheat in 2024 when the Governor and Attorney General were now Ds? Wouldn't it be easier to do the same cheat four years later with more people in power to help?

But that didn't happen. Why? Because both the 2020 and 2024 votes were legit. It's that simple an answer.

I'll ask again. Hypothetically, what happens if the Jan 6 mob had reached Pence, Pelosi, and the other politicians. Is there a peaceful transfer of power of Jan 20 if that had happened? Or, was there only a peaceful transfer because Jan 6 failed?

You conveniently ignored the adjective "failed" before the word "insurrection". Biden was sworn in on January 20, 2021 because the attempted insurrection failed not that it had very much chance of succeeding in any event. It was essentially a desperate "Hail Mary" by a defeated candidate who refused to accept reality and his willfully ignorant cult-line followers. And by the way and contrary to his own myth Trump never really offered the National Guard to provide security on January 6th.
