Jan 6 Committee: New Bombshell Testimony and Evidence (6/28, 1pm)

This was Trump’s John Dean moment.

We all knew Trump ordered the Code Red, but his gangster intimidation and mincing words could have kept him just out of reach of the slammer, but not now. This was under-oath testimony from a Trump loyalist who was in every room where it happened, that directly ties Trump with criminally guilty foreknowledge of the sedition, and an active, violent attempt to join and physically lead the mob into the Capitol. Trump quoted as knowing what the mob was there to do, knowing they were his people, knowing they were heavily armed and looking to murder the VP and Congresspeople, and ordering that the MAGs be removed and the armed mob be allowed to advance on the Capitol.

I know the entire Trump saga has been unprecedented, but this is not only unprecedented; there has also never been anything this criminally damning, or this extreme in its criminality and danger to America, presented under oath against a sitting or former POTUS.

The DOJ needs only to wait for these hearings to conclude, and every one of the conspirators that haven’t cut a deal is going to jail. With Trump.

Just wait until Meadows and Rudy flip to try to save their own asses, and the three stooges all attack each other.

 

There is legal method to activate retired military to make them face military justice for crimes during or after their retirement. If there’s anyone who ever deserved this fate, it’s this traitor.

Trump has no way of ever winning a other national election, even for dog catcher. The same majority that voted him out would come back in bigger numbers, and the Dems are organized enough to overcome the voter suppression laws in the swing states with with GOP legislative control. Many of the laws would fall if legally challenged, too.

And if you don’t think Jan 6, and these hearings in particular, haven’t pitted the true, non-MAGA republicans against him, or that it hasn’t gotten the attention of a critical mass of the 1/3 of Americans who usually don’t vote, I don’t think you’re talking the right pulse of America.

And it better be the case, because if Trump took office again, our democracy would literally be over.

 

The irony of the January 6 hearing is that democrats are doing the Republicans a great favor by making it much harder for Trump to run again.

60 percent of the GOP In Congress voted to reject Biden electors. Trump backed candidates, including election deniers, won most GOP primaries. This is who that party is. Once they control Congress, no Dem will ever be certified as president again. Especially when GOP controlled legislatures start rejecting the popular votes because their representatives don’t like the result. A source close to the Secret Service says both Bobby Engel, the lead agent, and the presidential limousine/SUV driver are prepared to testify under oath that neither man was assaulted and that Mr. Trump never lunged for the steering wheel.

I was not referring to anything she witnessed personally. The post I was responding referenced one of the things she heard about but was not present for. He said she was “lying” because certain facts did not add up. My point was that she wasn’t actually there, so of course certain facts won’t add up. She would only be lying if no one was who was there actually told her any of this, and I’m not sure how one would prove that. Of the stories she told today, there was not one that I read where I said to myself, “Nah, Trump would never do that.” He is arrogant, stupid, and delusional enough to have done any or all of that. Still, I want to hear the story from someone who was actually there.

 

Right wing Trump sycophants who could care less about Democracy and are only disappointed that the coup didn’t work claim they don’t care. What they really should say is that they wish the coup worked. Tell me something: what is it like to live in a world where truth is determined by your ideology, as opposed to facts? Where a former aid to Steve Scalise and executive assistant to Mark Meadows is branded a liar (you compared her to Blaise Ford) because she tells the truth about Donald Trump? And why don’t you have the courage to say that you wish that Trump had stayed in office even though Biden won the election? This committee has presented a parade of conservatives from the Trump Administration who have been attacked or blithely dismissed by you and the Trump worshippers. Your feigned disinterest is false. I find it despicable how easy it is for people to flush democracy down the toilet. You may think your statement that nobody cares is some clever dismissal. The enemies of democracy make me sick. They are traitors to America. Stand with them and you stand against what America stands for.

 

All dim lawyers and pols saying she was incorrect just have to take the stand to correct the record.

 

She said she heard the secret service agent and driver discuss it in the driver’s presence and the driver didn’t deny it. It is still hearsay as to Trump. The only people who can describe what was in the car are Trump, the driver and the secret service agent. They don’t live by the military code of honor you do. And the Secret Service has a culture that has long stood silent about presidents in the guise of protecting them. But, as for the rest of it, What she heard Trump say is consistent with who Trump is and what multiple witnesses have described in connection with his response to 1-6. I know you don’t like Trump.
