    FTR, here was your post:

Note the absence of a question mark, or even a question with out the mark, other than the self directed rhetorical "I wonder why that is?" (which technically, isn't a question...c'mon teach, you should know this...).

But to your claim--seems like 'Trumpsters' are swearing under oath. The ones who the Inquisition committee has gotten to flip, anyway.

Just another part of the clown show it would appear.

However, material witness Pelosi and her henchmen refused to permit the designated reps of the GOP (such as Jim Jordan) to sit on the Inquisition Board (for obvious reasons), instead appointing their own token establishment stooge to pretend to afford counter representation...

Not enough ppl were fooled by the transparent ploy.

    C'est al vie.

    So it remains...a kangaroo court.

Not even engaging enough to distract from the dumpster fire that's shaping up for the Dems in November...hell, might even be acting as an accelerant to the flames, driving reasonable ppl the hell away from the radioactive mess that is Biden-Kameltoe's Democrat party.

    LOL!

P.S.--Roe v. Wade has finally been overturned. IT'S A GREAT DAY IN THE USA!!!

The difference with the objections is in the past, they were little more than sour grapes to be included in official records, with the Congressmen knowing that's all their objections would ever be. But if you believe the testimony, the 2020 objections were part of a coordinated effort to overturn the election. In short, previous Congressmen who rejected understood and accepted their objection would be little more than a footnote in history. But the 2020 objectors wanted to be a big part of the main story, and overturn the election.

    That's a lot of Americans.

But by all means, do go on discounting us as freaks and dummies and suckers...deplorables, smelly walmart shoppers...ppl who cling to their bibles and guns...whatever else you want to shit yourself over--b/c at the end of the day, we're...

    REGISTERED VOTERS.

...and we'll have our say again, come November.

    ;)

Sorry, you can't separate them. It was all part of the same effort to overturn the election and have Trump remain in power.

Nah. I think they waned to buy time, because the smell of fraudulent skank was so overwhelming that it continues to loom agonizingly over the tainted results.

IMO, that's why these hearings aren't getting a fraction of the traction they were expected (or at least optimistically hoped) to achieve.

It reeks of a transparent ploy to legitimize ill gotten gains (by obscuring the illegitimacy).

Yes lets have hearings without anyone to cross and put people under oath who have no credible info or evidence to provide. While you are at it, don't have those with first-hand knowledge come to testify.

But I am the one who sees or hears no evil...

Too many of you make stuff up in your head is what I am convinced by.

To believe a 70-year-old man tried to overtake SS in an extremely well-guarded limo... lmao.

Hey, do we still not know why Clinton meet with Lynch? What difference does it make at this point, right. Bleach hard drives of over 30k emails while it's being investigated and uh, no one is punished.
Oh anyone serving time or punished for fabricating a Steele dossier?

Spare me the BS see or hear no evil.

I understand your frustration, but it was the republicans who refused to set up a bipartisan committee with equal participants leaving it to the Democrats to set up their own. It’s those who opposed Trump’s attempt to disrupt the peaceful transfer of power who are testifying under oath, and those who support Trump are refusing to testify.

You mean the smell of fraudulent skank that was so bad it lost over 60 court cases? Or maybe it was the smell that after a count, recount, and multiple audits in Arizona, it not only confirmed Biden's win in the state, but the margin actually grew by a few votes! Or maybe you're referencing the skank Bill Barr said was total bullshit?

There's something that stinks here for sure. But it's not the results of the 2020 election.

Or the *three* recounts in Georgia, including a statewide hand recount.

The same is true here. Their objections literally could not be sustained by Congress given that Democrats controlled the House.

"While you are at it, don't have those with first-hand knowledge come to testify."

Give me a break! Trump insiders have been asked repeatedly to testify and several have been subpoenaed. Yet, many refuse to come forward and tell us what they know. Why? Because they know they will have to implicate der leader or LIE under oath.

2000 was an extraordinary occurrence and it isn’t surprising that people wanted to try to run out the clock to the last minute. I’m not saying it is good or bad but by all accounts the election was a draw and we were in tiebreaker mode.

I don’t recall specifics of 2004 other than Ohio was close

It is entirely plausible that Russias efforts in 2016 swung the election given how close it was in a few swing states. It’s a hypothetical and we will never know. In my mind it was a problem, but it wasn’t a problem with the electoral process per say and didn’t change the legitimacy of the election from a technical standpoint.

Yes I understand politicians will take hypocritical stands. But I just don’t see any of this equating on any level to any aspect of 2020.

You didn't have to mention Trump. His stubby fingerprints were all over every facet of the coordinated campaign to overturn the election. For some reason, you're putting one small element of this campaign--the objections to the electoral count--into a vacuum, and drawing a completely untenable equivalency.

What was missing in all previous years were the protesters, speeches, and plans to storm the Capitol. In 2000, for example, there was no larger plot to change the outcome. Gore had conceded by the official count. The objections were simply a superficial objection to be placed on the record. Can we say the same about all the events on Jan 6?

Trump is a 74+ year old toddler, who often throws tantrums. It's entirely believable that he'd grab the steering wheel or throw plates at the wall.

Picturing an irate and thwarted Trump bellowing "I'm the president!," and grabbing for the steering wheel places no burden, whatsoever, on the imagination.
