It's crazy Chadwell got his coaching start right here 10 minutes down the street from me at Charleston Southern.

 

Yep, just an hour and a half drive down interstate 26. I drive past charleston southern and their field everyday. It's oddly right on hwy 78. I mean you could catch some food at Wendy's or Dunkin and watch the game across the street. Lol

 

I can think of another team that should have hired him too.

 

No doubt the guy can coach, but Charleston Southern had several NCAA violations during his tenure that cost them many vacated wins. I'm sure if we had hired him, that would've been all over the sports news ad nauseum, and if he'd struggled, there would be more bitching that we shouldn't have hired him than we're currently hearing about Billy.

This. With that said, I think he is a really good coach but I also keep in perspective this was done in the C-USA and not the SEC.

I am a professor at Liberty and while we were sad to see the previous coach move on, there was overwhelming support for Chadwell when he came on board. We have made a concerted effort to improve and really invest in all athletic programs, but of course the success of the football program this year was amazing. Looking forward to the bowl game, which throws into sharp relief my frustration at watching my Gators not go to one. I'm still upset at the cluster that was the Arkansas debacle.

 

But does he have a process?
