The curse of Florida recently. With every bit of good news comes bad news. Can’t wait for a bunch of good news in a row.

He was looking at being the 5th big man at UF this season even if we don't sign another big. It is now imperative that we sign at least one more big man.

Im not surprised…. We have Felder, and added Fudge, while still targeting Broome and Ward.

    Isn’t Ward a wing?

Losing this kid really bites. Given his size and his skill set as a passer/handler, I had him pegged for CC’s replacement at the five in those high post/five out sets. Pair him with an athletic defender who can love like Fudge, and we would have been set. So it goes.

yeah… I think so. But we are loading up on wings and some of the 3 & 4 roles are looking very interchangeable. Eric was telling me today that Will Richard played a lot of 4 at Belmont.

Richard is very long and rebounds well, so that makes sense. I could see him there in small ball looks.

Fudge to me doesn’t fit big man. 6”7 175 suggests perimeter player as with that weight he isn’t guarding in the post.
Only are where we are lacking is one more true big.
    **CC 6”11
    **Big JJ 6’10
    **Felder 6’8 but 225-230
    Fudge 6’7
    Richard 6’6
    Reeves 6’5
    Lane 6’6
    Kennedy 6’2
    Aberdeen 6’3
    Jones 6’3
    Klatsky 6’2

While this is a pretty big team the loss of Reed is huge unless we replace him with a Broom like player.
Add Kugel and Broom and this has the makings of a very good team ( if the chemistry is there) but we HAVE to add one more big…6’8 or bigger with the 220 lb body or more.

Fudge is at best a 2 or 3. Won’t be defending down low unless can add 20-30 pounds.

Fudge said last week on a radio show he is 6-9 and 200 pounds and has been told he will play the 3 and 4.
