Holy crap!!!

 

I would hate to be a cop who investigates this kind of crime.

 

I have tried multiple times now to comment on this situation. But I have found that this is the only safe thing I can say in a public forum about such an awful thing.

 

I wonder if Napier meets with the team every year and one of the things he discusses is what to do if you get arrested? Like, don’t say anything and ask for a lawyer, things like that.

 

Probably don’t care what a rival thinks but here goes.

This doesn’t reflect on UF or CBN. This is all on Kitna.

 

God bless them for their fortitude to do such a necessary job and I pray that it doesn't impact them and their families long term from having to view such disgusting images.

It’s terrible, no spin on this. Beyond Napiers pay grade to have to comment on this. The University should make any statements.

 

Age of consent has nothing to do with it. Across the board, having pictures…even if from your consensual 17 year old girlfriend is considered child porn. See it a lot in the military. If an 18 year old has a 17 year old girl friend it’s no big deal. If their 17 year old girlfriend send them a nude pic, it’s a big deal and considered child porn

Pervert arrested by Osceola County Sheriff Lopez in October had the nerve to ask Lopez if he was curious to "look and see". Just watching the news footage made my skin crawl. Don't know how these officers deal with it.

yea some kids about 5 years ago got in serious trouble for this. < 18 year old girlfriend sent her boyfriend pictures, which he then shared. He and a few others got charged with distribution of child porn.

 

Yup, this route is pretty common.

 

I sure hope this is the kind of scenario with Kitna. While nothing to be proud of, at least it’s not true kiddie porn.

An old First Sergeant of mine is child crimes investigator for a medium sized town > 50,000.

He is a remarkable man with a faith in God unlike anyone I have ever met. He told me once that is the only way he could do the job and he would not put that burden on another officer.

 

he said he’d found them on the Internet. And the initial tip came from a large exploited children advocacy group so it seems like it’s not something as “innocent” as a pics of a 17yo he had consensual relationship with as a 19yo.

But innocent until proven guilty.

the level of how disturbing it is will really come down to if they find a lot of content on his other devices. It’s disturbing if this was a 1 time thing where he saw and shared a few images. It’s sick as hell if they find tons of inappropriate stuff in their search.

 

I was referencing the aggravation clause for multiple photos of children under 5 and abuse or sadomaschocism. However, on further review that does require possession of ten or more.
