I’ve never cried in January as a UK fan, but I sure have in March and I sure have been pissed off a lot as well. I look forward to the UK- UF battles.

I have lost some tough games and I have won some tough games. I never cried over a loss and I never got so caught up that I couldn't shake hands and sincerely say "Good game" to the team that we beat instead of being a jerk. I played mostly basketball and baseball.

True story. After we beat Ohio State for the basketball natty in 2007 I was walking out with my son and he chanted "Just like football." I told him not to say that. Ohio State had a great season. They are feeling bad right now and there is no reason to make them feel worse. An Ohio State fan came up to me and said "You are a good dad."

I did play baseball and we know that there is no crying in baseball. LOL. I know from many pictures of high school cheerleaders with running mascara that there is crying in basketball at least at the high school level.

Billy D getting absolutely roasted by fans after latest playoff loss. Maybe Ky should have waited a week.

Roasted for the Bulls loss? After Ball AND Levine got injured, it's a miracle he even got them close to .500. They won a play-in game then lost to a good Miami team.

Fans really are fanatical...and delusional sometimes

The Chicago fans were booing the draft of Joakim Noah.
    Later, they absolutely loved him.

    Kentucky Wildcats: Mark Pope
Pros: For his introductory news conference at Kentucky, Pope emerged from a bus full of former players and other supporters as thousands of fans at Rupp Arena roared. Pope won a national title as a player with the Wildcats in 1996, and he has used that history to court the fan base. It also has helped him attract the NIL cash he required to recruit talented transfers, such as Otega Oweh (Oklahoma) and Lamont Butler (San Diego State).

Cons: Kentucky is arguably the most prominent brand in men's college basketball. The school's wish list included UConn's Dan Hurley, Chicago Bulls coach Billy Donovan and Baylor's Scott Drew. Pope knows he wasn't the top choice for Kentucky. He had a solid run at BYU, but he's not in the same stratosphere -- based on his résumé -- as the other targets who were ahead of him or his predecessor.

    Initial grade: C
    Grade now: B+
