Yep. Drew turning them down is a surprise (for me). It will be tough to spin this Ucheat-like procession of repeated "no interest" by so many big names.

Wade’s show cause doesn’t expire until June of ‘25. Can he move right now? He was already employed at Mcneese when he got hit with the show cause, but wouldn’t this somewhat limit his ability to move?

We will be fine. I understand why Drew said no. It should always be family first! No matter who we get its an improvement.

Bruce is getting less run than I’d have expected. I think he’d be a monster at Kentucky.

I agree, should be higher on the list than it seems he is. If UK gets shot down by Billy and Hurley, Pearl is one of the only names left that I think would create a lot of excitement.

I don't think Hurley will leave UConn but thinks UK has a better shot with Donovan. What makes me worried about Donovan is that UK would have to wait a while for him and how he's been so close to taking the job in the past only to back out. That would be a bad position for Kentucky to be in.

Except that he can’t escape the first round of the NCAA tourney. I think he is happy at AU for the time being. Some coaches would not care for the pressure cooker and wholly unrealistic fan base, no matter the compensation.

Rumor is Billy will listen to UK's proposal. He isn't happy in the NBA with the ability to build a roster. NBA and College are basically the same with NIL and free agency. The difference would be he would have control of who to add to his team. I remember when we had Billy and we were worried when UK had an opening. This was one job that has always intrigued him. It is what it is, but this is what is being reported in some circles.

nah- I don’t see him ever returning to college basketball. NIL, annual roster turnover, portal, fund raising… all stuff he would absolutely hate. The landscape has only worsened… significantly… since he defected.

BD is pushing 60, he should milk the NBA as long as he can then retire to wherever the hell he wants to go.

Then again, oppurtunities at pUKe don't come along often, he may milk that job for a while

Billy's strength was the ability to develop players in my opinion, a luxury which no longer exists in the modern era.

Oats did (though he hadn't been contacted by Kentucky yet).

I suspect Hurley will eventually also, though he hasn't yet. I don't think UConn will match what Kentucky offers but I bet they'll get close enough for Hurley to decide to keep a good thing going.

I see nobody is mentioning Pitino, the once and future king.
