Ahhh, I see now. You're a hater when it comes to anyone else achieving, if it's not a Gator. (I even made that rhyme for ya)
Yeah, I wasn't saying this was one of the main reasons he won. My comment was pushback on the idea that playing for Prime is what helped him get this award. He had an elite season at WR.
Why do I [almost] always find myself in agreement with you guys on this forum, but on the other one, not so much... lol
Yeah, what he might have done as a kid matters. A black kid who was having success. Stories & rumors...about a kid, lol. Deion is pulling a vastly superior HS recruiting class for 2025 compared to his previous two classes at CU.
Simple really. Most fans hate their rivals or anyone having to do with these rivals. You OTOH, hate everything.
Another thing I hate is prejudging, hating kids based on what color of laundry they wear. To each their own.
I only have 1 "favorite team" and that is the Florida Gators. But I appreciate good football anywhere. I mean, UGA had an extremely underwhelming season on the gridiron, but somehow won the SEC and have themselves a bye in the CFP. They are a big rival, but you have to appreciate your rivals (or enemies) when they have an operation setup like Georgia does. It's just truckload after truckload of stud recruits and then Kirby and his staff get them to play well together. It works. What they did, having the hardest schedule in America was what I call a success. I believe you can learn a lot from your biggest rivals. I'm into that Sun Tzu Art of War type stuff. Bemoaning a team simply because you feel obligated to (as a rival) is pretty useless if you want your team to perform well.
Congrats on attempted rhyme....too bad absolutely nothing in the post actually makes any sense...per your usual
Not talking about what he did as a kid. Talking about what he did when he came back to town as an adult already in the NFL/MLB. I certainly wouldn't hold anything against a kid doing stupid stuff.
Agreed. I grew up in SW Florida also, and was a couple years behind Deion. He is/was not a very nice person when not in the public eye.
I know people who say Deion was not a nice person to them, and I know people who say Deion was the kindest, most polite person they’d ever met. Such is life as a celebrity, I guess.
Maybe. When you're physically abusive to female department store workers and the like, it kinda skews the scales. At least for me. You're free to continue being a fan. I'm sure neither of us is going to convince the other to change their minds.
