This election will be anti-Trump, Anti-maga, and women’s rights. Economy is great so it wont be an issue except for fantasy suffering righties who cant do math and are not swayable.

To add, some of the things I'd try if I were advising Biden's campaign:
    1. Publicly and loudly issue an executive order for the IRS to apply a tax credit this year for housing and food costs at ~$500 per adult and $200 per child. When Republicans in Congress publicly exclaim how he can't do that, and when a Republican judge strikes it down based on constitutional arguments, pivot the message to those Republicans standing in the way of everyday Americans getting help with their living expenses.
    2. Repeat No 1 with different levers, but the same basic recipe. Loud and public EOs laser focused on improving where in the wallet Americans are feeling pain.
      1. Tax deduction/credit for property insurance increases. This can further be marketed as Biden stepping in to fix messes by Republican state governments like here in Florida.
      2. Forgiveness of income tax debt for all families with 2022 AGI under 100K.
    3. Aggressive advertising campaign with testimonials from average Americans about how certain Biden policies have saved their home, family, loved one. I'm talking a flood of these across media platforms up to the financially feasible limit.
    4. Aggressive advertising campaign on bills blocked or voted on by Republicans in Congress that negatively impacted everyday Americans. And given our gerbil-like attention spans, it would probably need to be a position that can be articulated in 20 words or less.

Even Trump has shifted from the economy sucks to “It’s improving because Im leading in the polls”. If the economy holds out.. yea.. it wont be an issue.

This election is going to be anti-Trump vs. anti-Biden.

I'm not arguing with you about the actual economy. I just think you're way overestimating the average American's grasp of macroeconomics (or how much they care about it).

They know that property insurance is way up, groceries are way up, etc., and it's going to be an easy sell for Trump and Republicans to point at Biden and say, "It's his fault" if Biden's camp responds with, "Actually when you look at this statistical data on our GDP growth vs other advanced economies..."

Oh, but he's claiming this growth is in anticipation of him becoming president.

The difference is US and Japan can be explained by comparative population growth, and it likely explains part of the difference in other countries too.

US population grew about 1/2%. Japan fell by 1/2 %.

Our spend has continued to climb like crazy since he left office. Is that due to his tax cuts also?
Look at pre covid budget and look at the budget now. Certainly it had to go up during covid why hasn’t it decreased to close to pre covid numbers?

The people that don't understand were always going to vote for Trump even if gas cost $1/gallon.

(PSA: Download the Chevron or Texaco rewards app (free) and save $1/gallon on your first fill-up.)
