The IDS has killed 17,000 of the 30,000 Hamas fighters. That's 17,000 down and 13,000 to go. Shutting down the Egyptian supplies through previous unknown tunnels at the Gaza/Egyptian border, maybe exposed is a good word for it, will make the Hamas fighting force less and less able to wage war.

Good job Israel, finish Hamas off wherever they exist. That was a stroke of genius killing the protected by Iran Hamas leader in Tehran.

The Biden Administration keeps lying about a ceasefire that won't happen until Hamas is completely destroyed. It's just talk, talk, talk. Netanyahu came to the US had his say in congress which passed more aid for Israel, and then thumbed his nose at Joe Biden and Kamala Harris while going about doing what Israel needs to do to eradicate Hamas without notifying or consulting with the US which current government cannot be trusted:

Israel Defense Forces: Over Half of Hamas Forces 'Wiped Out' – RedState

The US won't involve ourselves directly, but we are supposedly back to supplying weaponry to Israel. Kamrade Harris can take her anti-Israel and antisemitic policies and stick them where the sun doesn't shine. Embargo weapons to Israel? LOL!

The Israeli military has touted that their forces have killed more than 17,000 Hamas operatives in the Gaza Strip since the war began, with US officials saying the Jewish state has achieved “the vast majority” of its goals against the terrorists.

IDF Spokesman Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari said about 56% of Hamas’ estimated 30,000 forces have been wiped out since Israel waged war following the Oct. 7 massacre.

Hagari said the blow has greatly affected Hamas’ ability to regroup and recover as small battalions have continued to resurface across Gaza after months of intense fighting.

NSC Spokesman John Kirby: “Hamas is not just a military organization. It is also an ideology, which still does not believe in the existence of the State of Israel, an ideology which continues to persist in the warped idea that what happened on the 7th of October ought to be able to happen again,” Kirby told reporters Thursday. “So, we’re going to continue to make sure that Israel has what it needs to defend itself against that threat,” he added.

Meanwhile, with every Israeli strike and someone's family member killed, Hamas keeps recruiting and rebuilding their numbers. Terrorist organizations like Hamas tend to be hydras. Cut off one head and two more grow in its place. Israel has been fighting terrorist organizations since its inception. They haven't defeated them 100% yet. Tell me why today will be different?

The great thing is if Iran is not squeezed into a hole, they will have an easy time reorganizing Hamas (or its next iteration) in Gaza.

How does the IDF know how many Hamas it has killed among the thousands of Palestinians slain? Has the IDF gone into Gaza to check all the corpses' IDs?

Reminds me of Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld, on the eve of the invasion of Iraq, saying, "They have weapons of mass destruction and we know where they are." Sure, you neocon POS.

Since they know with such specificity how many Hamas fighters have been killed perhaps they can tell us how many civilians have been killed. Then we can stop using the numbers Hamas gives out. Something tells me Israel won’t release that number.

Lol... Yep, that RINO POS wanted that war so badly that he even got warmongers like Nancy Pelosi and several other Dems to sign on to that war. Freaking Uniparty warmongers.

Well, you have to believe your leaders, don't you, like Rumsfeld, Cheney and Dubya, when they tell you that Saddam Hussein is planning to attack America with his weapons of mass destruction?

But that's another story. My question still stands. How the hell does IDF know how many Hamas it has killed among the thousands of Palestinians slain? I looked in vain for answer in the linked article.

I'm not sure if they know the correct number of Hamas insurgents in Gaza.

How could they, if Hamas hides in and behind the general population?

Maybe there's something almost biblical, like "Hamas" written on their foreheads. Assuming, of course, you could find what's left of their foreheads to see.

But no matter, Netanyahu is going to wipe them all out if he has to kill everyone there. Using U.S.-supplied weapons.

Until the Palestinians in Gaza accept the existence of Israel and reject from the river to the sea, the people there will suffer greatly. It's different because Israel will not tolerate any form of Hamas left over.

You are wrong, and I'm right. Your family in Israel agrees with me. I don't really care what a Jew in safe haven US who will vote for the first time ever openly anti-Israel antisemitic democratic party has to say on the matter.

Again, how many generations has Israel been fighting terrorism and groups like Hamas? If they couldn't completely wipe them out before, what makes today different?

As for Israelis, 66% want to see Netanyahu retire. There is growing unrest in the country that the war isn't accomplishing anything of substance right now, and Israel is only continued to fight because as long as the bombs keep dropping, Netanyahu can remain in power without having to focus on why 2/3 of the country want him out.

History says I'm right. Terrorists groups aren't easily defeated by military means only. If they could be, Israel wouldn't defeated the PLO decades ago, and Hamas would have never existed.

I think that since Hamas was tasked to provide whatever government services there previously were......IDF gets to call almost whoever they want a terrorist. Like the Hamas trashman. Or the Hamas fireman. Definitely the Hamas mailman.

If we go by the Hamas government figures (has the Israeli government denied them, as if it cares?), at least 40,000 Palestinians have been killed. If the job is 57% done, that means there are only about 30,000 more Palestinians to go.
