Is Trump really saying that, after he fixes things, no more elections?

I want the Cracker Jack box secret decoder ring so I can tell what DJT really means or what he doesn't.

    Amazing?

Pathetic . . . . that they still support this dangerous, demented wannabe-Putin.

I made that up. I felt like my sarcasm helped to illustrate the ridiculous false comparison. :)

    Possible, but not likely.

I think he got caught up in the adoration of his cultists. He was playing to the crowd by
assuring them that, if they push him over the top, they won't have to vote again. He will be there for them.

As a self-serving demagogue, Trump doesn't understand that, as a democracy, AMERICAN CITIZENS outside his cult WANT TO VOTE EVERY FOUR YEARS! IT IS A PRIVILEGE!

Ya nothing to do with the fact he thinks he can completely crush the democrat party and keep them weak enough to lose elections or anything… my goodness this is basic stuff. He is not even the first person to use this kind of language.

personally I don’t like the idea either. It’s never good when one party has the majority of the power for too long.

I can't stand any more of this crap. I think I'm out of here till after the election. After which I may never have to vote again!

This is how the liberal media spins things Trump says.

Trump: To make America great again that's what I want. To kill you is what Joe Biden wants.

The left: Trump said "I want to kill you"

I don’t care about any of this shit anymore because it’s become pretty clear to me that I will soon die from either electrocution on my electric powered boat, being eaten by sharks, or being eaten by Hannibal Lecter. So why should I care about an election.

I assume he means that he will fix things so perfectly that no one will ever have to vote again because everyone will see how perfect it is and just all vote the same.

He talks like a 7 year old though, so who knows?

This guy is obsessed with elections and wouldn't even admit that he lost the popular vote or California in 2016 when he won. There's no doubt in my mind that he's preparing to never leave office, in no small part because he may still have some legal liability after his term if he were to win.

That being said, the Trump supporters know that's he means, but they don't care. This is exactly what they want. They would sell America and democracy down the river if it meant keeping Trump in power until he dies.

"He is not even the first person to use this kind of language." I'm sure there's some truth to this.

But, I've been following and participating in national elections since the 1970s. I've never seen a major party candidate come close to Trump as an authoritarian. A fleeting comment here or there doesn't compare to Trump's continuous barrage of LIES, LIES and more LIES, personal insults, dehumanizing language ("animals who infest", "vermin" and "poisoning the blood"), attacks on US institutions, attacks on the US judicial system, attacks on federal and state elections, attacks on the free press, and intolerance for any dissent whatsoever in his party.

Following Trump's lead, the GQP mocked a US war hero and former GOP Presidential candidate (McKain), pushed aside another former GOP Presidential candidate (Romney), and ostracized the most conservative member of their party and the daughter of a GOP VP (Cheney).

Quoting Trump's own words is NOT spin. You just choose ignore his own words.

This was my take as well. He's too old to think he could rule indefinitely.

Maybe someone else has said something similar but I can say with absolute certainty that no one else has said it after having already tried to overturn the results of an election through false electors.

Republicans have been saying the quiet Nazi things out loud for a long time now. This is nothing novel. His fans and the criminally negligent news media will just keep saying you can’t take him literally, right up to the time when he does it all literally. Then they normalize it and pretend it didn’t happen.

    So,

    1) He meant "We'll win so big that....you won't ever have to vote again." ???

    2) Other politicians have used that language....about not needing to ever vote again?

Man, you twist yourself up good to defend this guy's doltery. Also, can you provide any examples of others saying this?
