Nick Evers was asked to send tape of his workouts to the new staff and he and his family were offended by it. If he really wanted to be a Gator he would have done so.

Dont sweat the details, some people cant be reached. Probably because it fit the narrative of the 2year crowd. When was the last time we signed 5 DL much less this potential calibre of talent.

You are absolutely correct about average individual talent score being a better indicator of success. this cycle speaks to BN’s ability to close. If BN retains 80%+ of this class and the next he will have solidly built a foundation for sustained success.

The washout % all the way back to 2009 is alarming. Another poster lamented the slide in recruiting and not being able to string together more than a few classes.

HELLO, that is what happens when you cycle thru coaches. Not saying they should have been retained just choosen better.

Thanks for trying to give perspective to those not wanting any

This class to me looks far superior to anything Mullen brought in. They are higher ranked kids on the average and higher character on the surface which could be the biggest factor.

One year and off to the quarterback powerhouse of Wisconsin, that says it all for me

That's the good thing about Napier's aura. It's always somebody else's fault. Lost seven this year? Mullen's players weren't good enough. QB play sucks? Richardson's looking to the pros and is afraid to run. Lose your biggest recruit? The NIL guys messed it up. Lost two starting Olinemen to USC? They didn't buy in.

At some point this is on Napier. Maybe his plan will work, but I wonder if you'd hold him accountable for anything that has happened to the program since he took it over.

Mullen's players weren't good enough. That's why Mullen's gone. This is obvious. AR did some good things but also had times where he couldn't hit the easiest of throws, not a whole lot a first year coach can do about that. He wasn't lighting it up under Mullen either. The NIL guys did mess up the Rashada thing. All available evidence suggests he wanted to come here but the money screwed it up. We don't yet know if we'll miss the two OL, though that seems like it might be a money thing as well.

I don’t know how anybody could be happy about how things have gone since Napier took over. He’s supposed to be an elite recruiter yet his classes are no better than what Mullen was pulling in, even with a brand new football facility. He runs an outdated offense that will never attract the top QB and Receiver prospects needed to compete at the highest level. Also, it’s imperative these days to surround yourself with top notch assistants, he certainly has not done that. This team will be lucky to be .500 next year. I hope I’m wrong but that schedule is a killer and we are lacking talent and scheme.

I can't guarantee that he'll be a success, but 1 year in I sure as hell can't say he won't.

I don't think Mullen was a great recruiter but I also don't think he's as bad as many here say. There were some tough breaks and he left some areas underrecruited but there were good players in good classes. Great? No. But good.

What specifically is "outdated" about his offense?

Let's be honest: that's not unique to Napier. Fans are optimistic. We want it to work. Some of us will hang on longer than others. But people said the same thing about Mullen::McElwain and McElwain::Muschamp.

In truth it's always a mix, right? Some of it is the situation one enters, some of it is what the coach does with it.

They could be. I hope so. But classes change. Attrition happens.

Average ranks never mean much to me because you could have a 4 star average, add a 3 star guy to the same class and your average drops. Case in point: we have 17 4 star guys this year. In 2020 we had 15 4 star and 2 5 stars but a lower ranking.

But I definitely hope he rights the ship. I like him a lot, and he has a tough rebuild.

Great take. It’s an “aura” thing now. You should probably sit this one out for the next 2-3 year if you don’t have the stomach.

    More of the uninformed.

You must be joking …the b2b National champs run nearly an identical offense …as does most of the NFL. But it’s “outdated”? And your recruiting comment is just further evidence of being off the reservation.

If you think this program can survive ANOTHER 2 or 3 years like last one, you're more than uninformed. You're delusional.

Right now the brand is already damaged, but it's recoverable. But if you add a third losing season to that? The class you're banking on falls apart -- what are you offering them at that point? UF will be living on the SEC network at noon, unless someone wants to feature the other guy. Forget any top recruits coming unless they have deep UF ties. Then if you add ANOTHER losing season -- that would make it our fourth in a row, and you're Kentucky, Arkansas, Mizzou, Mississippi State -- totally middlin', happy those years we manage nine, not too upset those years we lose six or seven.

Fair enough. I will admit I'm wrong. QB situation is fine.
