GOP pollster ... I appreciate his honesty.

'The entire electoral pool has changed': Top GOP pollster says Harris may deliver Dem trifecta (msn.com)

In a recent CNBC interview with Squawk Box, pollster Frank Luntz — who NJ.com regarded as "the Nostradamus of pollsters" — remarked on the jarring shift in momentum for Democrats between President Joe Biden's late June debate with former President Donald Trump and the emergence of Harris as the Democratic Party's standard-bearer in November. Luntz, who routinely conducts focus groups of swing voters in battleground states, noted that Harris is particularly strong with so-called "double haters" who were not excited about the prospect of a 2020 rematch.

"She’s bringing out people who are not interested in voting for either Trump or Biden, so the entire electoral pool has changed and if it continues in this direction you have to start to consider Democrats winning the Senate and Democrats winning the House," Luntz said.

"She’s got intensity now. She’s got an intensity advantage. She’s got a demographic advantage and I haven’t seen anything like this happen in 30 days in my lifetime,” he added. “Now my groups are broken up by young women saying, ‘I’m not voting for [Trump] anymore.’"

I was thinking the same thing. Lots of those Gerrymandered pub seats are based on thin majorities. A significant shift in the turn out by the dems could turn a lot of house seats blue.

Lots of coulds and ifs at this point. Still a lot of game to play. But I love having the feeling that we aren't going to be stuck with the MAGATs for 4 years. After the debate I was seriously worried about the future.

Maybe Trump can bring back Kellyanne Conway. Sadly for her she doesn't have family responsibilities to focus on anymore. She pretty much saved his butt in 2016 with her alternative facts.

I'd love to see "lyin" Kamala and "Tampon" Tim respond to Trump's name-calling by quoting Stormy Daniels and calling him "Tiny" Trump.

"I want this campaign to win. But the campaign is not gonna win talking about crowd sizes. It's not gonna win talking about what race Kamala Harris is. It's not gonna win talking about whether she's dumb," former UN ambassador Nikki Haley said.

"Stop questioning the size of her crowds and start questioning her position," former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-California) said in a Fox News interview. That clip was followed by one of top Trump advisor Kellyanne Conway telling a Fox host that the path to victory for Trump was in dropping the insult-focused campaign and instead pivoting to a "policy contrast."

I would say it is 3 and a half years too late for McCarthy to finally be honest.

The media apparatus hasn’t turned on him yet. Ultra cons have kinda turned on him a bit, but the media machine is trying to get through to him. Clearly. Fox News especially is trying to talk directly to him to persuade him to stop shooting himself in the foot.

Yeah ... this headline is spot on ... a few days ago he said "I'm winning by a lot" and yesterday he said something like "All the real polls have me ahead". Is it prideful bluster? Magic thinking? Or are the people around him too afraid to tell him the truth? Conservative journalist Bernard Goldberg:

Trump’s political friends, along with his pals who slobber all over him on conservative cable television, need to tell him that calling Kamala Harris “crazy” … and a “bum” … and “low IQ” … and “lyin’ Kamala Harris” — and now behaving as if he’s still in third grade by calling her “Kamabla” — may go over with supporters who are entertained by childish name-calling. But suburban women and college-educated moderate voters in general — the ones who likely will decide the presidential election — aren’t laughing.

Opinion: Trump needs someone to tell him the truth: He’s losing (msn.com)

Unfortunately he’s not able to watch Fox News because the wind is not blowing and there’s no electricity.

Some of the internet’s most influential far-right figures are turning against former president Donald Trump’s campaign, threatening a digital “war” against the Republican candidate’s aides and allies that could complicate the party’s calls for unity in the final weeks of the presidential race.

Nick Fuentes, a white supremacist and podcaster who dined with Trump at his Palm Beach resort Mar-a-Lago in 2022, said on X that Trump’s campaign was “blowing it” by not positioning itself more to the right and was “headed for a catastrophic loss,” in a post that by Wednesday had been viewed 2.6 million times.

Laura Loomer, a far-right activist whom Trump last year called “very special,” said his “weak” surrogates had unraveled his momentum and that his approach “needs to change FAST because we can’t talk about a stolen election for another 4 years,” in an X post that was “liked” more than 8,000 times.

And Candace Owens, a far-right influencer with 5 million X followers who was photographed with Trump in March, described the conservative infighting in a podcast Tuesday as a “MAGA Civil War” fueled by anger that Trump’s policies and persona had been softened to boost his mainstream appeal. “I’m just not sure who is driving the MAGA bus anymore,” she said, making it clear that like other vocal far-right influencers, her problem isn’t with Trump but with his staff. “You’re losing that support from the people that believed in you. … You need those people.”

He wont change because this is exactly what it looked like in 2016 when many thought he was dead in the water.

Even though he saw it fail in 2020 he knows it can ein an election and its who he is, so he sees bo reason to change.

    ....sadly

Not surprising, given that fewer and fewer of his positions can justifiably be considered right wing.
