Does he want to coach NBA?

I don't think any other BB will hire him away without a few deep tourney runs or F4.

It would be hard to turn down a giant recruiting budget, private jet and humungous NIL fund somewhere.

I personally think that while UF isn’t an NCAABB blueblood, it is an SEC BB blueblood. We are probably two national championships away from NCAABB blueblood status. But the whole blueblood thing is weird. Indiana is a blueblood but they haven’t been consistently good for decades. They should not have that status anymore.

Overall, as a university, I think UF has the prestige equal to almost any school out there. For whatever reason… our logo, brand, winning tradition in so many sports as a sum spills over into the individual programs and adds more gravitas. Because UF is overall “better” than other schools it’s difficult for our coaches to get poached by other schools.

Real middle name is Raymond. Doesn't strike me as a Raymond.

Is his middle name Franklin? Then there's nothing wrong with calling him Todd Frank Golden, though it sounds kind of silly (like Billy Bob Thornton or Joe Don Looney).

Some guy on a recent broadcast said that Florida had the lowest-ranked incoming freshman class (Condon and Haugh) in the SEC but now they're two of the best five freshmen in the conference and getting better every day.

I was sold on CTG almost immediately, fwiw. Knows the game, super personable, players drawn to him, passionate and loves hoops. Not seeing a downside.

At $3.1M/year, he's not in the top 25 of coaching salaries in CBB. He's near the bottom in the SEC.

He's gotta get a raise this off season. What should it be? Closer to $4M, to get him middle of the pack in the conference? Top 15ish nationally? Or is that overpaying for a young coach?

Get him up around $3.75M or whatever it takes to make more than CMW, should he get a raise. Contract loaded with incentives

Sad to think about losing two warriors like ZP and Sam. I don’t think any one year players could have endeared themselves to the fanbase better than these two did. They are the new standard. I feel like TFG will attract top tier replacements for them. Why wouldn’t you want to play for this coach?

True big shoes to fill. I agree we got a good guard but could use a Big to take Samuel spot.
Don't know a lot about the guard but if TG took him I assume he's a good one.
