Is Grayson McCall of Western Carolina going back into the portal

Agree - I think many of us are wondering if there is still a possibility. Seem to recall there was an issue with credits being transferred for his graduate studies?

Auburn seems to think they’re getting Grayson McCall, again.

 

April 26: Last day of classes for the Spring and Spring II semesters @ Coastal Carolina.

April 30: The spring transfer portal window closes.

 

Has McCall signed with Auburn? Why don't we wait till afterward to sign him? I doubt he chooses to sign with that dead program.

 

He hasn’t entered the portal.

It wasn’t a shot at him, it was shot at auburn and a play off the old Spurrier joke. Plenty of people of people laughed at it and pretty disappointing it got censored

 

At least Spurrier didn’t get sensired when he said it.

 

Kinda sucks we seem to have no traction there. He may be worth a couple extra wins.

 

When he graduates, that's when I want to see what he does... coming up soon. I think Auburn is trying their illegal best to get him.

Not getting my hopes up, and not expecting he could be any more effective than Mertz because of missing spring. In Mertz Napier has a guy who is intelligent, reads defenses, goes through progressions, is good presnap, is accurate, can open the playbook from things we couldn't do last year with AR, and is unflappable. Only thing I heard from WI fans is inconsistency. Under as much pressure in the spring game as any games against OSU or UM or PSU he looked better in the pocket, keeping his eyes downfield, not locking on a target, and avoiding pressure than what i saw in his previous games. If he is improving these weak spots and gets SOME protection and running production, we should have a decent offense. The portal for IOL and Mazzcua's recovery is more important than another portal QB gamble.

 

David Waters is saying the talk is coming from the Coastal side, not from inside the UF program. Said none of his UF contacts are advocating for him / does not think he's coming. Per today's Podcast.

 

A competent game manager. And improvement in every other single aspect top to bottom, side to side.

 

I don’t know if it will happen but I hope Grayson McCall becomes a Gator. But if not, maybe Tom Brady will re-enter college and we get him.
But Grayson McCall.. come on down.
