    Well, it’s on.

    No small deal.

It was indeed a direct attack, as Sloppy Joe said.

    This is saucy.

This was all just for show. Irans attempt at a warning. Israel will strike back in time. US will be by their side but not necessary to take any further action.

I was going to say, it's my recollection that Israeli aircraft can't even reach Iran and return without refueling. Perhaps Israel should use kamikazis (preferably volunteers). Or use nuclear weapons, if the world has reached that point, which of course it eventually will. How else is the world supposed to end? (Climate change can only do so much.)

If Iran's current attack was a response to Israel's previous attack, how will another Israeli attack act as a deterrence? It seems that if this Iranian attack was a response to the previous Israeli attack, another Israeli attack would result in another Iranian attack?

Spoiler alert. The Iranian attack was in response to a previous Israeli attack, which was in response to a previous Iranian attack, which was in response to a previous Israeli attack, which was in response to a previous Iranian attack, which was in response to a previous Israeli attack, which was in response to a previous Iranian attack, which was in response to a previous Israeli attack, which was in response to a previous Iranian attack, which was in response to a previous Israeli attack...

Yeah, you could go back quite a ways with that scenario.

So very true. That’s what makes a direct attack from Iran’s homeland to Israel’s for the first time that much more scary.

I don’t get why the sensationalist media (left and right) aren’t freaking out about this more.

Iran and Israel are both very aggressive actors and this escalation seems meaningful.

Israel's response is going to be brutal and pictures of kids blown to bits will be flashed all over the world and Israel will be painted as the bad guy.

I tend to disagree. Given the minimal actual damage from the Iranian strike if Israel does retaliate by attacking Iran itself it will most likely target the military sites from which the drones and/or missiles were launched.

Regime change in Iran is required. Should have occupied them in 2003 but here we are. Knocking out Iran will also help with Ukraine.

There was regime change in 1953, when a democratically elected government was overthrown. Guess who overthrew it. Now it's time for the sequel, with a new cast of characters, whatever the cost in blood and money.

The battle cry in 1953 was "I Like Ike!" I guess the battle cry today should be, "There ain't no hidin' from Biden!"

The strategic situation is completely different than it was 71 years ago. Iran should have been dealt with for decades, delaying has been more costly for the US and our allies in the region.
