Interesting Article on DJ Pickett

Well at least he is showing some interest. So "they just need to win" - I would suggest that means
showing "improvement" so I would think 7 meets this criteria. I also think improved and disciplined play
would be a marker.

And of course that the program is fun and exciting to watch. Man, Billy had to overcome so much negativity at the end of last year.
Just win our share, show improvement and excitment, that UF is on the upswing, and don't end the year on a 5 game losing streak.

(yes I have seen the back end of the schedule, just got to win a couple of those this year - I'm thinking LSU and FSU for starters).

 

Interesting tid-bit about Cory Raymond and how all that went down... Now LSU is his #2 school behind Miami? That is interesting indeed. I have to wonder if C.R. knew he was going to leave the Gators (or get fired) and never really recruited D.J.Pickett to Gainesville. But now that he's at LSU you know it's a full court press to land him for LSU.

But I do like that Harris is all over this kid, probably undoing some of perception about where the Gators are and where they are headed... this is why I think he said we just need to win.

Winning is the best elixir to why getting the very best players in the nation. Winning and winning now has never been so important to our football program. If we win the games we should, and surprise in a few others, then we can take the next step in getting to where the Gators should be... on TOP.

I hope Harris is talking to the parents too. They need to feel like part of the whole plan as well.

And can Harris nullify all the negative recruiting that LSU's Cory Raymond is dishing out on the Gators? I hope so.

We need to win... win big... win as many games as we can this year. Winning is the key to our future success. It's the only thing...

 

What's up with the dislike?

 

Just look competent on the field in every game and show improvement more than win totals. I want to see DJ Lagway and I don’t care if it’s mop duty or a package and I want him to look good and make receivers excited to come join him.

 

DJ and other younguns showing out and a winning record with competitive losses will open the gates wide.

 

I saw him play twice last year - there were several very good athletes on the field but he was on a different level. ZHS has had some conduct issues as a school, including a brawl last fall but I don't think he was implicated.
