We can beat LSU at home. We really can, but if and only if the damn cameras are focused on the Rowdy Reptiles instead of on the 6 90-year old fans who will be sitting behind the Gator bench.

You all seem to forget that we lost arguably the best player in the SEC last year before the SEC season even began. Give the coach a little slack!

Legitimate reason last season. But that was last year and White knew better than most that KJ would most likely never play again. If he had never had the issue, do you think KJ would be playing this season? He would have been in the league this season so we wouldn’t have had him this year anyway.

White had Keyontae, Blackshear, Lewis, Nembhard , Locke, Mann and some other solid players on the team a few years ago, and the team turned out to be average. That’s when I went off the deep end.

Dooley, I am too lazy to be asking the hard questions about problems with our programs, then discuss what he found. Nah, just his thoughts about what he feels is happening. The epitome of a lazy sportswriter. I am out of state and know probably as much as he does. So I don’t read his blogs!

Two people that could get us on the winning track,
    1. Petino
    2. Teddy Dupay
    3. Them together!

I wish we were not holier than thou, but our hiring process for basketball has never been very good. Petino should be given a second chance since he endorsed Billy D. And told him it is a good place to build a good program! Mid majors are always a gamble, but we live on a steady diet of the above average mid major coaches. Both the above were the pinnacle of great coaches and player.

So true and now its fair to assume that these guys probably bought White a couple of extra years. Their talent overcame subpar coaching. Can you imagine how much better this team would be with at least 6-8 other current SEC coaches?

I thought Pitino told Billy to steer clear of UF

Strickland likes White, so you may have to get rid of him to get rid of White.

If the team turns around enough to make the NCAA Tournament, historically you don't go far (if anywhere) without good to great guard play.

Wait for Saturday in Columbia, South Carolina.
I am sure Frank Martin will have the cocks ready.
Talk about a game we need to win or our season will be a battle with Georgia for last place. LSU just had better players, South Carolina has been up and down but I am sure Frank knows we are wounded. Wouldn’t surprise me to see injuries to our players the way frank teaches mugging defense. Another loss will be a head banger for CMW. Scott Strickland will be getting his email, texts and phone lit up if we fall to the Cocks!
The players don’t have any confidence in their play, I hope we can turn it around.

Due to not wanting an energetic recruiter who resonated with recruits!

That’s not the way I remember it. Foley didn’t want to hire Billy D. and Spurrier thought he’d be great. Spurrier calls his (at the time) friend Pitino to call Foley and recommend him.
    Then Foley hired him.

bullish - THE GAME of the year for UF, IMO.
The way I see it, do or die. If UF cannot beat SC and we go 0 - 4 then I think the season goes completely south and could very well put CMW on the edge of oblivion in terms of his Gator future.

And Martin has owned White too. At least relative to how it should have gone.

We didn't accept it with Mullen so why would we continue to accept it with White. He gets paid more than half of the coaches in the conference and all the ones paid less than he are currently performing better in the conference than he is. He has backed our teams into the tournament at least the last 3 years (would have had there been a tournament last year) and is routinely eliminated in the second game of the tournament. Billy's legacy has been eviscerated under Mike White. The generations considering where they are going to play basketball after HS don't even look at what Donovan accomplished in making their decision anymore. Perhaps this is what White wanted. But most coaches build on a legacy. They don't demolish a legacy with the banners, championship floor, and jerseys with championship emblems on them, so they can in vain build their own legacy. This is on Foley. He should have hired a known commodity after Billy who could recruit lights out and had a history of going deep into the tournament.
