And let’s face it; in government, even more than in business there are a LOT of things that need covering.

You’re correct. It doesn’t necessarily make them smart. But if they are smart in what they are doing, they will leave no evidence.

Sure, but just about any large scale organization engaged in large scale misconduct is going to do that eventually. Even the "smart" ones. Heck, Wells was the winner of the recession because they were smart enough not to be weighed down by junk, and yet a few years later, they were getting nailed.

“Winner” of that recession is very relative. They took a bad beating, just not as bad as some others. As much as I hated the bailouts, WF and the others were too big too fail. Congress had a chance to fix it but they gave it Dodd and Frank. That bill does help prevent to a certain degree what happened, but it’s cost in terms of burden and regulation added substantial cost. I would have preferred seeing Glass-Steagal reinstated.

Definitely relative, but it led to a huge expansion when the government basically handed them Wachovia for lack of any other options.

This bill does so much good and all conservatives want to talk about is that it is being funded by tax cheats and corporations that dodge taxes when they make $1B minimum.

Middle class and poor don’t have the ability to dodge taxes. They don’t have the streams of income or investments.

Prescription prices will fall. Energy output will go up. The deficit will fall.

    Win. Win. Win.

Yes, just as BOA did with Merrill and Chase did with Washington.

Damn near 15 years and that still chaos my ass. Government allows and encourages irresponsible behavior and then rewarded all of the SoBs that got rich. No one prosecuted, no one went to jail.

You seem to care since you’re arguing the point. If I say UF plays FSU do you … or any reasonable person … argue that I mean they ONLY play FSU? Of course not. Go ahead and just admit you were just stirring the pot to get a reaction. It’s ok. Its too hot. Its what a lot of people do..

Is someone making the point that the IRS did not target any liberal organizations?

Several people are presenting this as a rebuttal to the claim the IRS also targetted liberal organizations.

From what I’ve read the main argument is that the irs apologized for targeting conservative groups. The rebuttal is against the idea that conservative groups were target more aggressively or why else would the irs apologize… not that the irs never targeted liberal groups.

Very few automobiles, if any, qualify for the EV credit.
    Loss. Loss. Loss.

The Inflation Reduction Act won't give tax credits to EVs that source batteries from China

This is the US KGB with most 1/6 protesters, but will be US farmers in less than 2 years when climate wackos are telling them how to farm:

Dutch Farmer Protests: Police Arrest Over 100 for Resisting Green Agenda (breitbart.com)

In the mid 500s pages of the law, you will find the subsidies to farmers. This failed spectacularly in Sri Lanka and is failing in Europe. We now have it codified into US law.

Note to all farmers: DO NOT ACCEPT the SUBSIDIES. You'll owe your livelihood to the far-left climate wackos who know nothing about farming.

Interesting. Were you giving this same advice to farmers when your lord god *quintupled* farm subsidies to pay for his failed trade war? To cover the costs of crops literally rotting on the vine thanks to Trump policy? I’m guessing no. You wanted those votes bought.

Farmers, like anyone else, will probably do what’s in their financial interests, and I have no doubt the corporate farms will “game the system” with Joe’s plan - just like they have been doing for decades anyway and will do in the future no matter what is done in the areas of farm subsidies/farm insurance.
