Inflation is weighing down Americans. Many trust Trump, more than Biden, to fix it (msn.com)

As Biden tries to sell Americans on an economic rebound, most Americans aren't buying it, according to an exclusive poll from the Suffolk University Sawyer Business School and USA TODAY that reveals major concerns about the state of the economy and little hope of people's outlook improving. What's worse for the incumbent president, Americans say they trust Donald Trump − not Biden − to fix it.

Nearly 70% of Americans said the economy is getting worse, according to the poll, while only 22% said the economy is improving. Eighty-four percent of Americans said their cost of living is rising, and nearly half of Americans, 49%, blamed food and grocery prices as the main driver.

"It's getting harder to survive out there with the little bit of money that we do make," said Casey Lafi, 43, a waitress at a diner in Philadelphia who lives with her husband, a veteran who is disabled, and a 15-year-old daughter.

More Americans said they trust Trump, the 2024 Republican primary front-runner, than Biden to improve the economy by a 47%-36% margin. The spread is 46%-26% in Trump's favor among independent voters.

It's time for Trump to run some commercials about basic issues and at the end say Miss me yet.

As usual, people don't understand economics.

Prices are going up from greedy gouging not inflation which has come down.

Cost of borrowing isn’t due to gouging, unless you use a pay day loan place…
Not all the inflation is due to gouging, a big part was supply and demand driven. That’s economics…

ICE cars about to get stupid expensive... UAW on strike as on today. And what the unions want will cause plants to be moved right out of union states, into right to work states... and Mexico.

Yay, Biden's America... losing entire industries in huge chunks.

While the nation's inflation rate is now the lowest among the G7 powers, Florida's inflation is 3x higher than the US. Any bets on who DeSantis will blame the state's high inflation rate on? Will it be Woke ideology? Woke indoctrination? Woke economics? Wokeism? Leftist climate change policies? DEI? Black history? LGBTQ+? Disney? Biden?

He’ll claim there are benefits to inflation. You have to teach both sides.

Fix & Biden do not go together unless you're alluding to the bogus 81 million votes.

All 81 million of Biden's votes were bogus? You'd think that's provable, but alas, all 50 AGs still certified the election in spite of Biden getting 0 actual votes.

Still butthurt about Trump losing what is by all accounts a fair and free election? 81 million fraudulent votes and zero proof? That's not just the crime of the century. That's the crime of all humanity!

For Biden, the positive in this is this is a messaging and image issue. Trump brags about being an incredible businessman, but the reality is how many times did he declare bankruptcy? Get the right message out, and people will listen.

Which was done due to the free money handed out, and research has shown that food stamp increases directly lead to food inflation.

Doesn't make it right, in fact it's sad that companies seem so keen to take advantage of people but in order to gouge customers the customers must first have money, preferably money they didn't earn.
